Recently we used White Lady Funerals (Southport), for my late fathers funeral. It was spectacular, marvellous experience. They took great care, informed us of every step which was so helpful when you are in an emotional daze.To all I advice you, funerals are not cheap, can be upto $20000, we had funeral cover and we had already purchased the burial grounds, this saved us $7 thousand.If you get a funeral for $5000 that is a bargain.If you have funeral cover even cheaper.The last thing you want is to be stressed out about how you will pay for it all.Thank you White Lady's, you did a wonderful job, your empathy surpassed our expectations, considering you don't know the deceased it felt like he was one of your own.

We chose White Lady Funerals to look after my mother in laws funeral, we wanted a very simple affair, basically we just wanted Mum cremated. The White Lady representative greeted us at their Molendinah office and ushered us into a room. The representative came across with what she must have thought was sympathy and concern but to us seemed condescending and false. As we hadn’t shopped around we had no expectations of costs or options, but we knew that Mum wanted a very simple affair, no coffin, no religious service, just gathered immediate family. White Lady took all the details regarding the organisation of Mum’s death certificate, and moved on to other details, We wanted no coffin, we then found out that the local government bylaws requires a coffin!We chose the simplest options, a cardboard coffin for a ridiculous one thousand four hundred and nine dollars followed by $540 for cremation fee, cremation permit $65, Death Certificate $50 and the icing on the cake a whopping $3000 for professional fees.A few days later we conducted our own farewell for Mum at home coinciding with the time she was being cremated, (there were more fees involved if we wished to watch the cremation at the funeral facility in Nerang)Approximately eight weeks later we followed up with White Lady regarding the whereabouts of the death certificate. Guess what, they mucked up. Apparently they forgot to send a form or something so we had to wait a bit longer while they sorted that out. We finally received the certificate (sent to my sister in law who is very much alive), only to find that my sis-in-law has been recorded as deceased on Mum’s certificate! Considering the price of their ‘professional fees’, we believe that White Lady should have reviewed the certificate prior to sending it; after all, they’d be dealing directly with my sis-in-law and should easily have realised this very large error.
