Alliance Robes

Alliance robes transformed a tiny room in my house in to a spacious office space perfect for completing my work. They designed such a practical and beautiful area, delivered all they promised and even cleaned up after themselves! Thank you to all the team at Alliance Robes.

Alliance did a beautiful job on replacing old wardrobes in our house. The robes are either side of a chimney breast and the house is old so nothing is straight or level. It wasn't A problem for Alliance though.From the original meeting through to fitting everything was clear and explained well and I was really happy with the price too.The finished product looks amazing and transforms the room.I would recommend and I will use them again on future projects.

Alliance robes designed and installed a built-robe in our bedroom and a wall to wall bookcase in our study room. Built-in robe was Ok (so so), but not without problems. They had to come back three times to fix problems with the built-in robe. The built-in drawings the installers were given had different details to what was shown on the drawings e-mailed to us. This was clearly because the designers (or I would rather call them sales people in the showroom), gave the installers incorrect drawings. Negative points for lack of attention to details. However main problem was with the wall to wall bookcase in the study room. The bookcase drawings given to us showed different depth than what was actually installed. Although the difference may not look huge in absolute terms, in fact it made a big difference because we could not fit what we wanted to put in. This was all because of the skirting board on wall at the floor. In spite of repeated warnings and requests, the office designers who came to take measurements did either not warn the production people, or production people ignored the drawings given to them. In the end I end up with something sub standard. Another problem with AF, was Alliance robes get substantial percentage of the total amount for the job upfront as deposit, which we paid. And, when it came to installation, they again demanded all the remaining (including labour, materials everything 100%) before they even step in my house. My request was , there is usually small percentage left to be paid after the job is completed. The sales person warned me in a very blunt language that if we do not pay the remaining amount in full, the installers will not step inside my house. This was rather threatening for me, asking for the full amount without even carrying out the works. Last year I carried out almost 100,000 dollars of work (kitchen renovation, solid timber floors for the whole house, double glazed windows, doors, etc...) all companies happily (without me asking) left a small percentage to be paid when the job is completed to our satisfaction. All got paid without any problems.I would say, think about going to AF twice, unless they change the way they conduct their business.

As a trusted Interior Design Consultant in Perth I have experienced Alliance Robes to be professional with high standards of workmanship. The showroom is amazing and the Interior Design team are great to work with. They don’t ‘sell’ they ‘create’ and only the best quality finishes and fittings are used. Graham, the manufacturing director makes time to personally visit any client experiencing an issue to have it resolved. Caroline, the showroom manager maintains a clean, beautiful and inspiring showroom in Subiaco which I take pleasure in bringing clients to experience. Well done to the Alliance Robes team, your excellent reputation is deserved.

While the customer service in the showroom was good the actual product has not proved to be worthwhile. We paid around $10,000 for a wardrobe that included push to open drawers. They regularly popped open, sat in a jagged uneven line and did not close. We asked them to come in and fix it pretty regularly, which they did, but the problem always returned. One repair man stated that he was surprised at the cheap quality of runners considering the cost of the wardrobe and said he would chat to the boss about getting appropriate runners fitted. I ended up speaking to the owner online who accused me of pulling the drawers instead of pushing them. (this is impossible if the drawers are flush, the only way you can open them is if they are pushed - unless they are in fact broken and hanging open). We left it that he thinks I'm a liar and my expensive wardrobe looks very shoddy and it is not the happy outcome that we were hoping for. He never responded to my report that his own worker thought the runners were too cheap. I don't know if that man still works there.

I am disappointed to write that the impressive, perfect showroom finish is not what we got in our home. After visiting the showroom, we signed for a unit in our walk-in robe.We could have got a unit for considerably less cost but hoped we would ‘get what you pay for’. Unfortunately our unit was less than perfect.1. The two top drawers would not close correctly as the edge of the shelf they were closing onto was not straight. This was subsequently repaired, though is still less than the perfect finish that you would expect from professional cabinet makers.2. The height of the top shelf at one end of the robe had to be dropped from 2100mm to 2000mm to accommodate an air conditioning duct. The finished shelf is actually 1900mm high, a variance of 100mm, which has compromised the height of the hanging space in this section. We have been told this is a totally acceptable variance and would not be rectified. Not sure how a professional cabinet maker can make an error of 100mm and find it acceptable.Yes, our plans clearly stated that “all sizes are approximates. Please allow for a variation”. I beg to ask “What is an acceptable variation in cabinet making?”The installers were very helpful and polite and, on completing the installation, acknowledged there were some areas that did not look correct. Unfortunately that is where the service stopped.It appears, in the production area, there is lack of attention to detail and an acceptance of ‘less than perfect’ is quite okay. Furthermore, we did not receive the courtesy of a reply to emails – very poor customer communication!Think twice (or three times) before you accept a plan and pay your deposit. What is on the plan is not guaranteed to be what you get!

I’ve never felt the need to google review a company until I dealt with Alliance Wardrobes.We looked at several wardrobe suppliers and overall felt underwhelm by all of them but chose Alliance Wardrobes as they had an impressive showroom. They were also the most expensive of the bunch so we thought we would get a high quality product.Premium price does not equal premium product unfortunately.Their closets are clearly made cheaply - I note the review below about cheap draw sliders, the same ones were used for ours. The exorbitant prices charged for laundry hampers (we aren’t even using them as they are so ugly despite paying a fortune for them) and a cushion were unreal. The closets themselves are unimpressive compared to what we were led to believe we would receive.We then had a follow up issue with them and instead of being helpful and understanding, they attempted to gouge us again with an unbelievable price to replace a few shelves.Don’t be fooled by the showroom. A company who doesn’t try to at least leave its customers feeling they got value for money, means something is wrong.Go elsewhere!

Over priced with inadequate attention to detail. The sales assistant made a HUGE deal about matching the customised wardrobe to the shade of white of the walls, so that it would match exactly.Neglected to powder coat the aluminium frame which I can only describe as toilet bowl white. It sticks out like a sore thumb. The company made no apologies and refused to rectify the issue.

Our wardrobe and TV cabinet is just perfect for our modern style house. Alliance Robes listened to all our needs and wants and deigned pieces that were well suited and practical. Best customer service from both the designers and tradies.
