All round average experience, we were looking forward to eating here as lovers of aged meats but left less than excited.Pork ribs were tough and over cooked, the beef did not have any strong aged flavours, for me the best part of the meal was the corn, given this I feel the menu is quite over priced for what it is.The staff were pleasant, particularly the young lady serving us she was lovely, engaging and happy to hear our feedback

Epic cuts of steak cooked to perfection!Can highly recommend the 'Black tyde Angus - aged scotch fillet' with the watermelon salad. This combo is both filling and refreshing.The bar team make brilliant cocktails also - can recommend the long island iced teas & Moscow mules.While the Iron Bar is in the more costly dining experiences in Port Douglas, it's money well spent if you're treating someone or yourself.

A lovely rustic feel seated on the footpath side near the road which worked out well as the evening was pretty quiet. We ordered drinks a Bloody Mary and Ginger beer followed by a doz oysters cooked three ways and scallops. All were lovely, then mains of lamb and chicken skewers and an apple and rhubarb crumble to finish. All were presented beautifully and very tasty. All table service and Bernice was very attentive and amenable, so thank you IronBar.** came back for a second round of eye fillet and fish curry both didn’t disappoint so eating stands!

Oyster happy hour is a must do. The food was absolutely beautiful and the best cocktails I have ever tried. Service was exceptional. Only thing I would change is to make the sides a little smaller and a bit cheaper

Fantastic steak, well worth a visit when your next in Port Douglas. Steaks were magnificent, cooked to perfection. I haven’t had a great steak in a long time. Thanks Iron Bar for delivering a fantastic meal. The cocktails are also worth a try, very tasty.

Add a great night out with friends. The place has a nice atmosphere. The staff were friendly and helpful. Had the oysters Kirkpatrick . The oysters were nice but the sauce was thick and not your standard Kirkpatrick just a bit heavy and over powering. We tried a couple of different steaks. A dry aged and a ribeye. Cooked as we asked and tasty. A bit on the pricey side but it's nice to spoil your self every now and then . Extensive wine menu again most on the pricey side. Overall don't go there for a cheap feed . Go there and enjoy some quality meat and wine and enjoy the night. All most forgot the deserts were very good

Staff are warm and welcoming and, there is a gaming room upstairs if you are so inclined with an 'open air' bar. We both enjoyed our steak meals. My partner had chips with his and I thoroughly enjoyed the house salad, which was like no other.

I have spent five weeks in Australia and have not eaten at any restaurant or bar more than once. I have eaten here THREE times, lovely oysters, great tasty food and very friendly service from the staff. Have 3-4 starters and treat it like a Tapas. Excellent atmosphere!!

So happy with our dinner experience. Firstly, the staff were absolutely incredible and so kind and courteous, one of the staff members even offered to take a photo for us as we celebrated a special occasion. Value for money was definitely a tick, food was delivered quickly, and it tasted absolutely beautiful! Would definitely come back and highly recommend the Wagyu steak! I was also unsure of a particular wine, and they offered taste testing, which is great! ☺️ can’t wait to go back!

Great family steak restaurant option during our stay in Port Douglas. Dinner bookings everywhere are a must so put IronBar on your list. We got in early and took advantage of the oyster happy hour special for mum and dad. All the meals came super fast and steaks were cooked to order. Kids fillet steak (100g) with chips and sauteed greens ($20) was the best kid's meal I have seen in ages, and our meat-loving daughter devoured it. Dry Aged steaks on the menu were a nice surprise and came cooked just as ordered, although ''house side salad' was not up to scratch compared to the rest of the meal, very token and did not add to the dish at all. The veg that came with the kids meal would have been a much better fit and probably would have prompted anther side dish order.
