Spotlight Creative Carindale (Craft, Party, Sew)

Very small little Spotlight but great for us home seamstresses. Good little fabric selection and they have all the other little bits and bobs you need to sew--needles, bias binding, quilting cotton, rotary cutters etc. I've not found a Spotlight I love in Brisbane yet after moving here but this one is by far the best. The staff tend to be on the younger side and are super nice.

Easy access, good variety for size of store.

The shop was great clean they what I was looking for. I had to ask staff for couple of things no trouble at all for them to help us. They were just great. Highly recommend To go in for a look. All your party needs and your sewing buts and bobs guaranteed to have it all.

Retail is dead.Super disappointed today when visiting Spotlight Carindale. I went INTO the store (vs buying online) because I was after another ball of yarn (having purchased it from there recently). They didn't have it on the shelf (looked everywhere) so I asked at the front if they could do a stock check/check out the back. The attendant then directed me to check stock on their website/pulled her phone out to show me how. After discovering that they weren't in stock, I asked if they could order in the yarn, which I was then told wasn't available and to order online through their website.Is it unreasonable to expect that if you go INTO a store, that they might be able to help more than just directing you to use their website?!. If so, no wonder retail stores are struggling as there is no advantage for customers to going INTO a store vs buying online. I really really feel for older customers (who i imagine would make up a large portion of your clientele) who aren't familiar with the online process, as you DEFs would lose customers this way instead of allowing them to come into the store to look for items/order in for them.Side note - had a look online, and 12.99$ shipping for one ball of yarn is ROUGH.

It's great having a branch of Spotlight in Carindale shopping centre. Albeit a smaller store, it still has most things one could need. A bright, well laid out and signed store. The staff are very helpful and friendly.

I’ve visited this store to look for some mill end yarns and the staff always said whatever that is left in the box is all there is (including today). But not long after, right in front of my eyes, another lady asked your staff if they have some more at the back, they ran back out with some colourful ones. Speaking of double standard on your service! Very much disappointing and appalling.

In the past couple of months I visited two stores and both times picked up fabric that I thought was on special. Both times the pricing rang up full price, can I suggest that carefully place your sales signs. Dance fabric was on special and I picked up a sequenced fabric thinking that surely this time I would be correct.I could not use the discount voucher as I have not spent enough money, I felt feeling frustrated.There is no email address on the website to send an email to customer care, the only way to do this is publicly.

I have been standing waiting at the service desk for help for the past 5 minutes. The girl filling up balloons has made eye contact with me a few times now. I understand she is doing a store task however this seems neglectful. The store has no signage to say where an item might be. This would be a useful contribution to the store considering the minimal staff.

Went in to check about Cricut knowing nothing. Spoke to Lauren (I think) about the product. She was amazing, spent the time with us, no hard sell, told us all about the product and some other items. Told us to grab a coffee and think about it. We did and bought it and a bunch of other stuff. If it wasn't for the great customer service we got here we probably would have not bought it. It's refreshing to see this level of service from Lauren and the team in this current environment when it almost is non existent.

One of my favourite craft stores. Always have such a great range to satisfy all my different hobbies and crafting needs. Staff are usually very friendly and helpful. Just need to go without my partner as he's always trying to push me out the door or avoid the store entirely (I may have a slight crafting addiction)
