Peninsula Caravan Park
A great park to settle in for a few days to explore Cooktown. New owners are welcoming and there’s plenty of room to set up away from the crowds. The walks from the info centre will help you work up a thirst.

WowWhat a great place to stay. Set on 11 acres of Natural Beautiful Bushland. Very Large sites to hide from other vans if you like that . It has new owners now with big plans to revive it. One of the best natural camps I have been in . We stayed in all of the other van parks in Cooktown and this one was so spacious. Like all the other parks here just a short walk to everything.Will be back !!

Jan at the office was very nice and helpful.Loved the vibe at Cooktown,locals very friendly and the music at the festival was great.Grassy Hill was a fantastic view over the Endeavour river at sunset where we enjoyed our Thai takeaway.Great end to a fantastic trip to the tip!!

Great caravan park for us to stay a few nights. We got an unpowered site, the toilet and shower blocks were always clean, staff were super friendly and helpful on arrival!Definitely recommend staying here!

Stayed 3 nights. Excellent park. Large sites, very clean amenities, really friendly owners. Will be back longer next time.

Had a great stay 4 night stay. The new owners are genuinely lovely people and are doing an outstanding job of maintaining and improving the park. The toilets / showers are the cleanest I have seen in any caravan park. The feel of the park with the huge shady trees is tropical and relaxing. Highly recommend
