Liffey Falls Camping

Loved it! We spent three days camping here it was great. Hot days were managed in the plentiful shade and swimming in the river. It's a lush and beautiful place. Some great, easy walks that are beautiful. It does have one fully functioned toilet and parks and wildlife so a great job looking after it, though it could use a 2nd for peak times. We will go back for sure, it's got easy, nature based fun in the bag. It's also free! Wow! #lovethisplace

Beautiful place and camp. I give it 5 stars because it deserves it. But people are terrible.. last saturday 28/01/23 3 cars arrived to have a picnic, clearly local people. They enjoyed and left lighting a fire and throwing all their rubish in. Beer cans and bottles, tin foil and probably plastic too but it got consumed by the time i checked.3 cars and they couldn't take their rubish with them, what is wrong with people? And lighting a fire and leaving it unattended. This is how forests fires can happen, and this is why finding free camps around can get difficult, because they can't trust people to do things right..

Really nice spot for camping, only down side is theres only one toilet for about 15 camp sites with fire pits and no shower block fyi. Nestled by liffy river, which is crystal clear and contains small trout, it's a 3 hr walk up and back to liffey falls. Take your rubbish home with you.

Camp ground opened 3/3/23 after being closed for flooding. Amazing camp ground, multiple private, well spaced sites, clean and flushing single toilet. Fire pit spaces with swing away hot plate and a plethora of dry firewood due to being closed for months. Walking track was closed due to maintenance and repairs.

It’s nice having a clean toilet there. The site is free and no need for booking. Also there are lots of spots to put your camping gear. It’s close to Laffey falls track.

Omg gorgeous area. Toilets but not showers. Wood fires. Peaceful and clean

One of the best campsites we visited in all of tassie. Can get full quickly...get in after lunch or you might miss out on a spot. Falls took us about 2hrs 30mins return.

A beautifully maintained camp along a stunning creek line. Very busy in summer, empty in winter. Can be cold BYO wood and kindling. Recent floods have closed the track to Liffy falls
