Lucky Strike Motel

A group of us stayed there for 4 nights recently. The pool was pretty good, the owners polite and friendly. The motel is 3 star rated and you don't expect much, but you do expect clean. This place was very dirty. Floors gritty, (not vacuumed), showers with soap scum, dirt and bugs behind the microwave, windows and sills dirty. A dirty towel left on shower floor for replacement as per sign were hung up again two days running. I had to go to the office to ask for fresh ones. We were actually happy to use our towels again but one was needed to be exchanged. The water glasses in the rooms were smeared. The toaster had dust across the top of it. The Vegemite in the little sachets were out of date, 2013 and very hard and cracked. We put our breakfast orders in and were told we had to have the same every morning. No cleaning staff, just the owners. Very disappointed. I am not the only one in the group that was unhappy.

Room 19,where my husband and I stayed was freshly renovated and had a brand new bathroom, mattress and a spare single bed. The linen supplied was of good quality, water and beverage facilities was available,microwave, kettle and cutlery was provided,friendly staff.

Lovely clean accommodation, and the bed was so comfortable which was exactly what we needed after driving from Tewantin. The staff were so friendly, it was a pleasure to stay there. We hope to stay there on our next trip to Melbourne.

The Lucky Strike Motel was really good. Tne beds were super comfy, the service was friendly.and the rooms clean. The place is close to otner services, such as the pub and a takeaway where you can get a decent curry.

The staff were incredibly efficient, helpful, friendly and happy!Nothing was too much trouble.Very clean and comfy beds.The pub next door provides a wonderful home cooked meal.Very quiet, so a wonderfully sound sleep.A great place to stop out of the bustle of Dubbo when travelling through.

One of the best places we have stayed while traveling . Had to take our staff for a convention & they accommodated us on very short notice as well as provided a very tasty Breakfast . The new owners are super friendly & helpful. Rooms are very clean and comfortable well worth the money .

Always a great stay at the Lucky Strike Motel, Sai and Ash are great hosts and the facilities are clean and well maintained. The new management go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable.

Have stayed here before, wonderful staff good rooms, pub next door does a great feed. But buggered if ill be paying a extra $30 for a bed that is already in the room. Yes i understand if they have to drag another bed in and make it up. But not if the bed is already there.

I've stayed at lucky strike a few times over the past 3-4 years. It seems that the original owners have retired and that Lucky Strike is Under New Management.My last stay was by far the best. The rooms are still a little dated. But, were very clean. The breakfast menu had a great selection of choices. Water, coffee and tea packets were provided in the room aswell.Bed was comfy and linen felt soft. Overall, its a great little stopover on my travels interstate. I will be back again.
