Incredible historical work. Difficult to get to the staircase. Overgrown obvious nobody cares.

Nice free campsite, with no amenities.Close to Springsure, and the Caltex Roadhouse there has a shower for use when you get fuel.

A wonderful campsite. The grass was fairly long but we found a nice clear area. Worth looking up to get all the info about the staircase and the hand cut road cutting

Drove to a cutting dugout through sandstone by mainly Chinese labour and you can see the chisel marks left behind

Historic site, basic bush camping, grassed area with shade, open picnic tables, no water or toilets, access is gravel track.

It's great to see our history recognised and it is worth visiting and taking a moment to acknowledge the efforts and undertaking of this site. Would be nice if it was a little better maintained and maybe some historic photos added with the sign if they are around.

Great bit of history, but someone needs to remove grasses and weeds from cutting, preserving a bit of history. In memory of the Chinese workers.
