Nice place for sight see. BBQs didn't work when we were there. Not much play equipment for children.Heaps of trees and water, of course. Got a boat ramp. Good fishing spot, I saw nice fish getting caught.

TRC does a great job of maintaining this open space. We visited on a public holiday and the area was freshly mowed, clean toilets and BBQs. You can't swim in TRC lakes but you can fish, boat and kayak. Fishing requires a SIP which is available online, the lake is stocked with yellow perch, silver perch, Murray cod with a healthy local population of Tandan.

Great for walking, sightseeing and has a children's playground. Facilities also include boat launch, toilets, and barbeque areas. Plenty of parking. Currently the water level is high so some of the walking areas are submerged. Generally quiet.

Drove over to Cooby Dam several times whilst supporting clients either in solo outings or as a group for men and womens group excursion. Cooby Dam has plenty of places to sit and relax in their undercover gazebos or picnic tables. Theres room to kick the footy or play cricket and there are also bbq areas and kids playground. A compost toilet block is also handy nearby. Today we saw many people take advantage of the warm weather and were out in their boats and kayaks and also fishing from the bank.

This is a lovely, tranquil place to visit for BBQ’s, bushwalking, fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding and boating. Great for families with a large grass area for picnics. Being so close to Toowoomba, it’s great for a quick getaway on the weekends. I’ll definitely be coming back again.

Cooby Dam in Toowoomba is a beautiful and peaceful location perfect for outdoor activities such as hiking and picnicking. The scenic views of the dam and surrounding hills make it a great spot for photography too. Overall, a must-visit spot for nature lovers.
