Swains Ormeau

Completely the worst experience. Through the insurance company, my car went here and they keep extending the dates. No idea that for $4k they take two weeks sounds like 40 million estimations. Accept that ordering parts take time but after that no work on repairing for 2 weeks and extending it. 8 weeks now and keep losing $350 on the rental car each week. They did even not inform me that the car is not ready 2 days before of estimated day. Worst service ever.

My car was insured with Youi and needed a door to be fixed. The car was still drivable.When we dropped the car off we were told it would take approximately 4-5 days. After phone call updates over a period of 2 weeks it ended up taking 19 days.At no point in time did Swains Ormeau offer me any assistance due to the delays, despite me explaining how it was impacting my family.They could not commit to a time for me to pick up my car despite my multiple requests after significant delays. I also explained the need to have some certainly as to when I could pick up the car so I could make alternative arrangements so I could work and pick up my child. Reception staff advised they don’t make commitments as to when the car will be ready in case there are “delays” and that they only advise when they are aiming to get things done by.I had a terrible experience and would not recommend Swains Ormeau to ANYONE!

My car is currently in this company to get fixed. Timeline. Car arrived to their work shop 28th Feb after approx a week of having the car. Was messaged 15 March to say parts are 5-7 days away. Received message 22nd to say parts have arrived. I called them the 27th to confirm car process, was told it would go into production next few days. I got told today after calling again April 3, after being put on hold for several minutes that my car will go into production tomorrow and won’t be ready until the 11th April. I have been waiting over a month now for a front light to be fixed. I would not recommend this company if you need your car for work purposes or just in general living.

Worst service ever, poor communication, poor car repair work. My car was booked by my insurance company after a minor accident that affected the bumper alone. Was told it would take 6-8wks, it’s been 4months and they are still waiting for a part to arrive from who knows where? Please save yourself some grief and do not use this service. I am angry that my insurance will consider them in the first place because it has been very difficult dealing with these guys, Sharley is very rude and condescending and will not listen to any complaints from a customer.

The worst experience ever.. I had a minor accident back to the beginning of December last year 2022, the appointment was booked in by my insurance company, and the car is finally and fully fixed in April, total 4 months time!! I got an email that my car has been repaired in February, but when I pick up my car I found that there is an area still hasn’t been repaired. The staff told me that the stock is at back order when I found out and asked him, but it was already 2 months after my car was sent to Swains. Very unprofessional. I have been trying to contact them and see if they have back in stock, they would put you on hold for like 15-20 mins. The other times that I called them, they asked “can I put you on hold” once they picked up the call, then you need to wait for 10 mins, and you didn’t even tell them or ask them questions. They would NEVER give you a call back and update you. Very poor communication. Would not go back again.

My car has been at this repairer for 5 months now after being told my parts are all in Australia and would be there in a week, got told the end of the month rang them got told another week, rang them again the same story, then finally I get a call today 5 months later on the 24th of may to say my car will be another month to be fixed. Definitely would not recommend this repairer as 5 months is a joke my car could have been rebuild from scratch in less then half the time

Courteous and efficient service - got car fixed and kept informed of the cars progress - couldn't fault Swains

Worst ever. Reception ladies great, the rest disgraceful. Youi you may need to look elsewhere for your work to be done if you value your customers opinion.

Picked our Golf up today after 2 months of repair….the car looks absolutely fantastic..The girls at the desk were very helpful and attentive 10/10 from us

Had mine car insurance cover job down at Swains, part from the part order process, I do say everything are very professional, a very busy location as well.
