Hill End Lodge
My family stayed here over the weekend and had a great time. The staff were very accommodating and went out of their way to organise for us to take dinner from the restaurant back to our room. The serving sizes were also very generous and the prices are good. The location itself is stunning! Amazing views to watch the sun set and stargaze at night. We were very happy with our dog friendly cabin and can't wait to visit again in summer!

As stated by previous guests, the accommodation is a bit dated, but warm, clean and comfortable, nevertheless. Perhaps some bedside lamps would be nice. Friendly staff, thank you, John, for my delicious flat white". Overall the country ambience is lovely and we would stay here again."

Found this place about 2 years ago and have been back several times since. Love the atmosphere, John and Bernie are wonderful hosts. The addition of 'Chubby' in the kitchen makes it even better. Food was excellent. Great base for exploring or prospecting if that's your go. Highly recommend it.

Absolute disaster.Food literally inedible.Linen was clean but carpets were filthy.No atmosphere at all.Perhaps suitable for a church camp at best.No TV to watch the NRL Finals.Had to huddle around a 30cm screen in a bedroom to watch the game.I would never go here again ever.Sorry.....Decided to go to the famous Hill End Pub but it no longer has an alcohol licence so that was pointless.So sad as the Hill End Pub has been fantastic since the Gold Rush.

Awesome experience!We stopped in for the night and the gentlemen handling the lodge is very friendly and super helpful! I love that we were allowed to take our fur babies, and could take our meals back to our cabin.Kangaroos and wildlife were abundant and friendly! And the price was very affordable and very worth it!

We needed a place to stay at the last minute and this was just the place. Staff were so very helpful and friendly.and helped put a room together for a family at the last minute. Food at the restaurant was fantastic. Lamb shank was cooked really well. There's no internet connection or phone service to show how remote Hill End is.

Spent the weekend, room hadn't been cleaned, bathroom bin hadn't been emptied, no milk for coffee, no microwave, no replacement toilet rolls, waited 1 hour 10min for a main meal in restaurant, won't be returning. If I could give no stars I would

Very good size rooms.Good beds and pillows.Hot hot water with good pressure!Outlook from the rooms is excellent towards the common lawn and BBQ areas. A few birds and kangaroos around.Friendly staff happy to help or have a chat.Maintenance is behind here bed there after a few quiet years (bushfire and pandemic) but everything important works.Easy walk to town.Had a really nice stay.
