There was one girl left to work the busy lunch shift which she did a great job while her colleague thought if would be a good time to go to the supermarket.

Hog's Breath Cafe Dandenong
Several years ago we loved this place. We struggled to eat our meals. What you see in the picture is what we left behind. The kids said the Mac & cheese tasted spicey. The steaks were well done as requested but had an overwhelming charcoal taste.Perhaps to others fancy, we will try again in a decade.

Steaks are STILL so top notch!! I finally tried the mega cut for the 1st time & it was so worth the extra $9 that you have to pay for. The garlic prawns that came with it were awesome too.The only downside is that the missus & I live over in the West & the nearest Hogs Breath is in Dandenong! But the food is still so good!

Went with full intention of having a steak dinner, was informed after eating they had none in stock at all. Which was fine, ordered a garlic bread and received garlic bread with cheese. Ordered cheese and bacon fries and received a garlic bread instead.All fries were cold and never received water or sauce to table after requesting. Never had any server ask how the meal was or check after initial order placed.Wont return again.

After hours of travelling, my family and friends were looking for a hearty meal in a well respected place. To our surprise worst experience in a restaurant we’ve all ever had. The staff member that served us was rude from start to finish. Couldn’t care less about our experience or the famous Hogs Breath reputation. Had more interest on being on her phone and proceeded to rush us to order our food and drinks upon sitting down. We ordered a coke and two spiders and waited 30 minutes for our drinks to come looking like they sat on the bench for the entire time. Waited another 30 minutes for our food only for the order to be wrong with something as simple as an entree which was only surprising as I double checked with our server and she supported the correct order. Two of our meals were bland and flavourless but we all felt uncomfortable to mention anything about it at the risk we’d be waiting another half an hour. Overall felt the service wasn’t up to par especially given the fact there was only two other tables there at 7:30 on a Thursday night. If it was busy, I could appreciate the urge to order or the time it took to get our meals but it wasn’t, the server just had an attitude. Quite disappointed as i’ve always associated Hogs Breath with being a reliable restaurant.

Drove an hour to get to Hogs Breath as there is none close by anymore.It did not disappoint, the drive was worth it.I had the prime rib with calamari, curly fries, seasonal veg, mushroom sauce and cheese sauce.It was cooked to my liking and every mouthful was full of flavour.The cheese sauce was a little strange as it was made with the darker coloured cheese you use on burgers so it was a little too rich for the veggies. But still it didn't put a damper on my meal.Would make the trip over there again.Hopefully Hogs can start to open some new restaurants. One at docklands would be amazing for everyone to access.
