If you’re into fine dinning experience but yet a casual place to hang out then The Rock is the place to be.Exquisite taste of food, couldn’t pin out a favorite as they were all AMAZING. Even the service was exceptional, very friendly staff that are well acquainted about their menu.Definitely coming back!We tried the following,- Skull Island Prawns- Fish ceviche- Oysters- Octopus- Peach-Heirloom salad- ScallopsN the calamari from the kids menu.

A quaint little restaurant positioned near the Mornington Yacht Club, serving a range of seafood,pasta,meat and vegetarian food.The service was immaculate, fast and friendly.We chose to sit inside as it was to hot to sit in the outer area.The food had good portions and tasted great.Well worth a try.

We have just returned from another remarkable experience at The Rocks, which I truly feel inspired to share!From the moment we arrived, we were greeted so warmly by our most gracious host Chase. This truly set the tone for a great afternoon.We had a beautiful bench by the wall, but every table looks as inviting in this charming light and bright dining hall. The endless sea views is the cherry on top! Every meal was well priced and completely delicious! Wine options were great and reasonably priced options. Service was first class. Our waitress Anna was well trained, helpful, attentive and most pleasant.The afternoon was rounded off by a personal introduction to the GM, Michael! This is clearly a well-oiled service machine - my whole family felt so welcome.Such a perfect way to enjoy a luncheon afternoon. No hesitation sharing this gem. Thanks to all the team.Can’t wait to enjoy my birthday lunch with you soon!

Great location with views of the bay. The service was great, they catered for my dietary requirements - highly recommend the scallops = delicious - the eggplant tacos were a hit as well, they offered mine to be served in a lettuce leaf as a gf option, the barramundi was very soft & tasty. Can’t fault this restaurant, we will definitely be back!

We dined there last night.Our waitress was courteous and friendly and a credit to the restaurant. The location and ambiance was top of the range. My wife’s meal was terrific, she had the fish and chips, and the fish was beautiful. However, my choice of meal was a big mistake.I ordered off the specials menu, which listed a 600g steak for $120.When it arrived, there was nothing to accompany it, like a few veggies or chips, just the steak on its own on a plate.Of the 600g, 300g of it was the bone. The steak was cut up into thin slices and served on a stone cold plate, sucking the heat completely out of the meat by about the fourth piece, leaving me to eat the rest cold.I would honestly expect more from a restaurant of this standard. When asked by the Owner/Manager as to how was my meal, I told him the truth. To his credit, he profusely apologised and did not charge us for the sweets which were fantastic.For a steak that cost $120, I expected more, but that aside, it’s a lovely place to dine, and I can’t fault any of the staff.

First time dining at The Rocks and confirm a most enjoyable experience. From the sea view, the food and the service, loved it all. Special thanks to Cesare for his attention to our requests, professional service and friendly charm.Will definitely dine at The Rocks when next in Mornington.

We had a great lunch here. Three entrees and the fish'n'chips mains. The kingfish entree was superb along with the equally delicious scallops. The calamari was also cooked to perfection.We only had a little FOMO when we saw others get the seafood main which looked amazing, but we couldn't fit in another main after our fish n chips which had some really nicely battered fish.The food came quite quickly and the setting was relaxing with friendly staff.We were seated inside as no seats were available outside but it looks great out there with what appears to be an all-weather deck. Next time we will try and book earlier to get a spot there as it directly overlooks the harbour ramp with all the boats.On a side note, we asked for tomato sauce with our fish n chips and as pedestrian as this may sound, best tomato sauce I've tasted! Its the small things ;)

Great food, great atmosphere and the friendliest staff in the southern hemisphere, with a view to die for. Holly and Chase made us feel so very welcome. Very professional and always smiling. Highly recommended establishment.
