Service was quick and the food was good! We particularly enjoyed the Fried Shanghai Dumplings, and Mongolian lamb. Deep fried ice cream & banana fritters are always a good choice too!

When Im in town , this is always my favourite Chinese food.Ordered dinner last night , very dissapointed in the Beef Black Bean sauce dish, the meat tasted awful, dry and tasteless , the sauce had very little taste , it seemed like this wasnt freshly cooked. The fried rice was tasteless and wasnt freshly cooked.Very dissapointing considering the prices paid.

For the price we paid (over $80) I would've expected a little more. There was barely any meat in the dishes, instead it was about 80% onion. The satay sauce was dry and stale, looked like it had a quick trip in the microwave to reheat it. Quite disappointed, especially for the cost.

We ordered lemon chicken and fried rice (vegetarian) this was the worst meal it was a dried up chicken schnitzel that was microwaved and tough the rice was plain and vegetables hard no flavour at all the lemon sauce was plum sauce waterd down. Would never eat their again.

The food was very bad. There was no taste nor flavor- I ordered a chicken cashew nut and I could not even eat. Waste of money - their dish is $20 per person - too expensive - actually don’t even want to give one star.

We ordered some Chinese for our anniversary and it was amazing. Fresh, beautiful flavours and overall very delicious. Highly recommend.

In one word - Disappointing...(although Pathetic springs to mind)I had read the chronicle's 'style' magazine, carnival of flowers -september issue, with their glowing reports of Qi'lin, & took note of the restaurant's crumbed chicken with strawberry liquer sauce. It sounded delicious. The illustrated picture in the magazine looked totally different from what was served up to my partner & i last night. The crumb was thick, the?chicken was a flat negligible layer (could have been boot leather, or beef for all i know)Priced at $27 i could have bought a parmy at half the price at any local pub with some decent chicken in it.Best part of the meal was the $6 steamed rice & the liquer sauce! (& don't you hate it when you get the stares from other staff when you dare to complain about a meal?)Was given 5x minutes between being given the menu & asked to order, as they close at 8pm. Definitely not relaxed dining.

We went to Qi'lin because we saw all the awards they have received. We had the fried wonton and they were the best we have tried. We also had Beef and Black Bean and Lemon and Sesame Chicken and the Qi'lin rice and they were lovely but not outstanding. The staff were lovely and the restaurant was booked out with lots of take away so it is very popular.

An unfortunate review, front end staff poorly trained and lack of manners.Food was ok, the crispy noodles were oily, stuck together and tasteless.Advised order would be ready in 20 minutes. . . . 50-55 minutes later.Combination Chow Mein and Special Fried Rice - no prawns in these dishes. The rice was boiled only.I won’t be returning to this restaurant.
