Quiet place to stay by the original Darling River which has changed due to the damming of the lakes. Has non drinking water, tables and toilets. Some history as Bourke and Wills and their team stayed here

Burke & Wills Campsite
Excellent location, plenty of bird life, places to walk and fish, plenty of water, nice relaxing atmosphere. Only downside was the piles of dead fish lying around the shore - wasteful! - and the campers who put up their camp inside the covered eating area - including parking their dirt bike in beside the table! so preventing others from using it. Plenty of space to find your own spot but be warned, heaving with grey nomads and their big rigs around the amenities areas.

Great wilderness campground. Clean toilets. Many spots to camp here, or pop over the road and camp by the shores of the beautiful Lake Menindee and use this campsite for its good facilities. Also historical sites to explore around the area where Burke and Will's had their main supply camp.

Burke & Wills Campsite
Great place to stay if you want to get off the beaten track and still be near civilization. There are toilets and running water and if you can 4x4 go a little past the site and you will be alone by the river. Perfect for the family who wants to go bush by still be 20mins from a hospital and shop
