Stellar Swim

We had a very frustrating experience today while attending a trial class for my son. There were three kids attending the lesson. Among them two were Asian including mine.The instructor, Juliana was not very friendly with these two kids. It seems that she didn't like the boys.But while she was approaching the other Aussie boy, she was very friendly and smiling. Her attitude towards the non Aussie boys was not encouraging.We felt very upset as it is our first racial experience since we moved in Australia and we have decided not to enroll our son for further lesson.

Took my tween boy at Stellars for swimming classes. He is a beginner and never enjoyed pools. His teacher Jacob was calm and did an amazing job. Made my boy smile while in the water. Once out he told me ' Today's was fun, I am liking the class'.Thank you Jacob and all other staff there.

For the Swim school - The admin can be a bit frustrating as emails and phone calls don't work so well (stick to face to face when you come in). BUT the teachers are amazing so it's a no brainer. Ive seen them be increadibly patient with little people who are scared of the water and have lots of fun with the kids in class. The facilities are great too. Cafe has fantastic baby chinos :) After a couple hit and misses, I won't be going anywhere else

This is showing luck of profetionalism !!When ever they want to cancel the Swimming classes they do not care to aware their castomers !This is the 4th time that we experianced such an ignorance !

Appalling customer service. They change class times with less than 24 hours notice. They don't call you to ensure you know about it. When you talk to the floor coordinator and front desk they can't do anything to organise an appropriate time or class. They say you have to email all your correspondence and they take ages to reply. It's hypocritical and infuriating!!!!!!! And once we rocked up and they didn't even have the girls class on or a record of them having class even though they'd been coming to that class for weeks. We're looking for another swim school, I've had enough!

The pool is so warm and very pleasant atmosphere, but, about the class, the class is only one day weekly, and we tried hard to attend, but the instrutinst are not using it effectively, they are watching the clock each second and just want to finish the session. And they are not bothering about moving kids to next level..

Great swim school. Our kids have attended for just under a year and had quite a few different instructors due to moving up a couple of levels and changing days etc. The lessons have always been consistent regardless of the day or instructor. The staff at the pool have a good understanding of working with young children and balance explicit teaching with building supportive relationships. Our son was very nervous about water and swimming and they have supported him to build his confidence, while our daughter (a fish in a former life) has moved up 2 levels in 9 months and is continuing to thrive under their instruction. We have many friends from daycare and preschool who also send their kids to Stellar and would support my review.

My 5 year old loved Stellar swim lessons until she did a session with, Juliana. While this instructor was very pleasant and cheery with two caucacian kids, she did not even smile at my girl even once. She was very rude to the little girl and was unwelcoming.Ensuring safety is very much essential, but the age of the children should be taken into consideration when dealing with mistakes. My child was intimidated. Half way through the lesson, she bursted into tears and did not want to continue. Even after a few hours, she kept saying that she does not want to go swimming again.This is very heart breaking. We passed our feelings to the team leader at Stellar.

I wasn’t going to write this review however 4 weeks after a particular incident my son is still traumatised over it... My son was in his class for 6 months, over the summer holidays we were offered to hold his spot in the class until term 1 commenced, we opted to take this offer up and have written confirmation via email of this. When we returned in week 1 my son got in the pool as instructed and was ready to swim! However apparently his spot was given to someone else, my son was then made to sit on the side on the side of pool then told to get out while all the other kids got to swim. After the incident you tried to rectify the situation but the damage was already done. The way you treated my son in the pool that day was appalling. And like I said 3 weeks later he is still upset over it. Run away from this place as fast as you can... I would not recommend this appalling place to anyone.

My kids absolutely love their swimming teacher Juliana. She is very patient with them and you can see she genuinely enjoys working with children. My kids have very quickly moved up levels as they regularly assess students and the classes are not over crowded. The pool is always clean and I see staff regularly check/test the pool water.
