Millie is an artist in every sense of the word.Her photographs are the product of refined technique and a certain type of creative magic that can’t be taught. The same type of creative magic that reminds me of a Caravaggio painting or an Annie Lebovitz portrait.I’ve been putting off having family portraits done for years as they all tend to look the same and I wanted something striking and unique. From the very first time I saw her work, I recognised it as having a distinct quality that made it stand out and I knew I could trust her to capture myself and my family as I saw us.My impression of her as artist was confirmed from our first meeting, where she shared her passion for art and people so openly with me, I felt instantly comfortable and understood.Millie not only listens to her clients, but she also goes the extra mile to really connect with them- to understand their vision and get to know the homes in which her portraits will hang. We have had the most incredible experience with Mille and now have a very special set of family portraits to cherish in our home for years to come. Right from the start of our experience Millie was very professional and she prepared us all along the way until shoot day. We were all abit nervous, not having anything like this done before, but we knew from the start that she would create something magical for us. We do an annual family photoshoot and I knew this time round I wanted something we hadnt done before - I didnt want the standard beach/park shoot, or a studio shoot with your average white or black wall, I wanted a more 'arty' approach, I wanted photos on my wall that I would walk past daily and be wowed.As a Mum and a Photographer I am rarely infront of the camera so I take our photoshoots pretty seriously, my standards are also very high, so when I stumbled across A.B.P on Instagram it was exactly the style I had been visioning, I could see in every photo, that it was no oridinary shoot, it had class, it had art, they were just special photos, really bringing out the beauty of her clients.I wanted that!!I had my own colours and styles of outfits already in my head and on a mood board, but it takes an amazing photographer to come into my creative space and then pull off everything I had visioned. The experience with Millie is one ill never forget, we have the most beautiful portraits on our wall and anyone that steps foot into our home comments on them.
