Delicious fresh and healthy food at good prices. Try the lunch menu between 12:00-14:30, most dishes are under $15. I'm so happy I found this place after my usual Japanese place closed due to covid

We had the most amazing meal here tonight! Service was attentive and friendly, we ordered mostly from the Tapas menu. The dishes were brought out 2 at a time, and we had plenty of time to savour each dish before the next came out, but not so long that we were waiting for the food.We chose a varied selection including sushi, sashimi and chicken wings. Everything was incredible: the fresh and beautifully flavoured kingfish sashimi was a stand out, but everything we ordered was delicious.Even my very picky husband loved everything, and we eat out a lot so this happens rarely.Dessert was also wonderful: I had the black sesame mochi ball ice cream, and if you love rice mochi balls you will love it! Very interesting with lovely flavours.Presentation of everything was simple, detailed and appealing, just like the food. Beautiful little handmade Japanese pottery Tapas plates, good quality disposable chopsticks, and forks if you are not great with chop sticks.We will definitely be back next time we visit the area, this was the best meal we have had in a really long time. We want to try more of the menu, and the extensive drinks and cocktails menu as well.Thanks for being the perfect ending to our holiday! Cafoo Izakaya we will be back!

Delicious meal at Cafoo, Sashimi was super fresh and we loved the crispy snapper and the yaki toro skewers. My only call-out would be the Karage Chicken Bao buns, the chicken needs to be crispy! Still extremely tasty meal though and we look forward to going back!

I’m so surprised I have never heard of Cafoo Izakaya before.The waitstaff are so lovely and the restaurant isn’t crowded, nor is it too loud - a fantastic place for a family or work dinner.We had the assorted sashimi, seared scallops with edamame salad, and the california roll.The scallops are a must have - the seasoning perfectly complemented their flavour. The other dishes were very fresh and also well presented, however a couple pieces of the sashimi were a little tough.Very affordable for the quality of food and service you receive.I will definitely be coming back later!

We stumbled across this whilst on a trip to Qld. We found the service to be excellent, friendly staff, efficiently food service. The Japanese food was of extremely highly quality. Up there with the best we have in Sydney. The sashimi was outstanding and the best dish was the miso cod - an absolute must order. We also liked the agedash and okonomiyaki. They also have a good drinks list and Sake-Gria (their take on a sangria).

High quality Japanese fusion dining with some nice classic dishes and a very nice selection of Japanese sake & spirits. We dined for a lunch of 6 courses and meals were timed perfectly and presented impeccably from the super friendly owners. The setting is calm with nice lighting and I cannot fault the experience. Will definitely return for a dinner.

Good presentation on dishes and nice flavour, sashimi are fresh and slice in a good size. Good place to grab small drink and yummy Japanese food.
