This hotel was amazing!!! We stayed in the penthouse suit (room 6) for our honeymoon. Not only was this the best room we have ever stayed in, but the view was absolutely next level. Everyone was so lovely and they even gave us a complimentary bottle of bubbly to celebrate. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in penguin.

We recently spent 7 nights in the family spa suite. The view was beautiful, the beds comfotable, the location great, the bathroom more than adequate, the staff friendly and helpful when they were present or could be located. However I do have a couple of suggestions: the room could do with a spring clean, under beds, ledges, walls etc. In the time we were there the room was not serviced and we had to take our own rubbish away, request clean towels and bin liners. One window could not be shut, one heater was faulty and scorched the powerboard, perhaps more power points would alleviate the need for powerboards. The tea/coffee making facilities were a bit tricky to use located on a lowboy, under the TVand there were only two coffee cups. The information on the booking sites and external advertising could be updated eg. Guest laundry, B&B? Overall we enjoyed our stay at the establishment as it is close to cafes, shops, walking paths and our suite had a great outlook across the water.

Never get room no 4!!Noisy street level room with an antique glass piece in the entry door to the room. While it is a stunning room visually, the hall light shines straight through the glass door at night making it impossible to sleep. Ironic when there are heavy blinds and curtains for the other windows.Being street level also means hearing all the street traffic and footpath traffic at 4;30am through summer. Not recommended for small children due to the steep staircase for the upper level rooms.

Beautiful place great locationOnly a couple of minor set backsThere are windows that don't close unless I was completely useless. Friday morning around 6am it's bin man o'clock its a great alarm system and I would suggest adding a couple of plates and bowls to the room as we had to buy some to head food in the microwave

No sleep in Superior Room 3 guaranteed! Sash window rattled all night with the wind and rain hitting the window. The rooftop air conditioning system of the adjoining supermarket is right outside the bedroom window and runs all night, very loudly, so if sleep is what you are after then this is not the place for you. No staff there to meet and greet nor receive my complaint about the noisy air conditioner and rattling window. No breakfast, contrary to the website information. Residual make up left behind on bedding from previous guests. Not a room for allergy suffers with dust all over the heater. Nothing to love about this place. Very disappointing. I see other reviews have highlighted the same issues and yet the accommodation provider does nothing about it nor acts upon the feedback and reviews left by guests.

It was the best accomodation with a welcoming host. He went out off his way to help us out with our car issue, thank you Phillip. We stayed at the Penthouse, it was very clean with all the required amenities.

The room and adjoining bathroom were perfect. After a long day of travelling, arriving late at night, ease of access was super easy. And what a lovely room after a long day. Access codes, instructions and wifi were clearly given. I could not have been more delighted with the amenities in the room and the lovely warm and welcoming feel to the place. Will definitely visit again!
