We Ordered a fresh salad and ham sandwich to take away.Bread was stale and the sandwich was slavered in excessive margarine, even the wrapper had margarine all over the place, not good on a limp salad.(uneatable) when I took the sandwich back and pointed out the issues, the lady said 'I did ask if you wanted it toasted'! A salad sandwich??. I pointed out the bread was very stale, the lady said 'it was there only bread they had left' Why sell it if it not up to fresh standard.No offer of a refund on my returned uneatable sandwich.The Only passing shot was 'we could have toasted it'!

Stopped in on a Sunday, got fantastic service, was able to accommodate special requests. Food was very good. Service was also great.

Nice little place. Nothing fancy. BLT was fine, but not great. Pricing was a tad high vs quality imo, but not overly so. Staff were very friendly and with a dozen people or so in the cafe, relatively quick with food delivery. Chips were thick cut and a bit floury, if that's your thing. It wasn't mine.My wife grabbed a sticky chai latte and said it was excellent. She's pretty fussy too, so that's a good sign. Staff all seemed happy and that was reflected in the vibe of the place. The ambiance was a tad reserved though.Open plan, spacious but not overly loud, so pretty chill place to sit and eat imo.Nice little place.

Had fish and chips for lunch that was very good. A clean and tidy eatery with friendly staff makes dinning all the more pleasant, well done The Yass Cafe. This is very welcome as standards seem to have slipped generally in hospitality since Covid.

Cannot recommend. I popped in for a take away coffee and a bite for brunch at 11am. Was told they were closed even though the cafe was half full of people. OK can I have a ready made wrap from the deli counter? No sorry we’re closed????
