Honestly unsure how this man has so many good reviews, makes me wonder if they are fake as I had the worst possible experience with Ricardo, he was dishonest and over quoted me on the job.I took my car to Ricardo as it was having an overheating issue and another mechanic it was with previously couldn’t get to it for 2 weeks and I needed the car back on the road for work. After a week, Riccardo finally “found” the issue after pulling my engine apart and not once had he quoted on the works involved or the pricing prior to going this far. I was told that my whole coolant system would need replacing as all my pipes were rusted and had holes in them. He quoted me $6,500 verbally. I requested a breakdown of costs and after working out how much his labour charges were ($180 p/h) which are exorbitant compared to other mechanics in the area, I questioned his fees and was faced with a rude, aggressive phone call about why I had questioned his fees. I spoke to the MTA and found he is not registered with them and he also failed to produce his license when both myself and my uncle had requested to sight it which makes me think he is unlicensed.After speaking with my father and uncle (who is a diesel mechanic), they went to his shop to get my car and were also met with his aggressiveness. For some reason as well my car had also had the front wheels taken off and the engine was in pieces. Ricardo then called Jeep Castle Hill to ask how much they quoted for the works and they said $1400 ($5000 less than what Ricardo quoted) which goes to show that he was trying to rip me off which is extremely disappointing provided he was actually recommended!! I would highly suggest that anyone who plans to take their car here, does their due diligence in checking his bad reviews first as it doesn’t seem like I am the only person he has tried to rip off.To make matters worse, he did not give all the parts to my Father and Uncle when they collected the car and threw away my turbo actuator which we have been quoted $9000 to replace from Jeep. Ricardo, I have no idea how you can sleep at night doing what you have done out of spite and knowing well and truly that you can rip women off, it is shameful.

My uncle dropped off his car with the main mechanic here for a crank sensor issue. He was met with attitude and was mocked for describing what he thought the issue may be. When he came to pick up the vehicle, the bill was over $2200 to replace a small $100 sensor which we found was easily accessible from the underside of the engine from another mechanic.Their labour charges are over $140 an hour and sometimes even more judging on some of the other reviews. Not only that, he fakes his hours as-well as this job would never take over 10 hours. Could literally have done it at home for free after watching a guide.This guy prices his work like it’s an authorised Mercedes dealer when it’s really just a dingy and cheap shop littered with stains and parts. I am not sure how this business has good reviews, maybe because he chooses to scam irregular customers or just randomly. Don’t think he has a real mechanics licence or the proper insurance either fudging by some of the issues he has caused other people.Do not go here unless you want to get scammed.Disgusting behaviour and service

great honest guy's, Kerry is doing all of our cars for a few years now. In particular all my 4wd pre and after trip inspections. He is very thorough and does not take short cut's. Kerry and Ricardo both know their stuff and are friendly and honest guy's no ripp of mechanics here.

I had been looking for a trusted Euro Car Mechanic in the Hills area, after looking at number of reviews on many mechanics, I finally decided to visit HMR and give my car for servicing to HMR. Ricardo has good knowledge and experience of European cars. Cynthia is fantastic in providing customer service. So far I have had good experience with HMR, I have even recommended two of my friends to try Ricardo services. He is honest and upfront. By and large I can say, my cars will be with him for a long time . I recommend him.
