The 3 stars go to the park manager as the park itself was very tied and in need of an update. Not a great atmosphere, dogs continually running around the camp and the amenities the most basic we've seen in a long time. Next time we'll stay at the community centre's free camp which is neat, has hot showers and flushing toilets.

Great friendly service nothing a problem, ensured my stay was above and beyond… nice clean room, air conditioner nice and cool.Karen and Amy so friendly and welcoming. Totally recommend stopping in for the night or a couple of nights… ps I just found the pool… beautiful and blue

Was supposed to stay for 2 nights, booked well in advance but they lost my booking and had no rooms leaving me stranded. Luckily the museum staff were able to come help me! Make sure you confirm your booking before showing up …

So we rocked up couldn't find anyone, however amenities were good, washing machine($4 based on an honesty system), clothes line. Power and water. Happy to pay if we could find management. Town is a friendly little place. Not much here, but hey is very remote. Lovely locals interesting history. Great place to visit. Make it a stopping point on your travels

A nice older park, can get crowded in the powered site area so be early to make it easier to park. Toilets were clean ,showers hot .Staff friendly and very helpful. You can even have a fire if u bring your own fire place , or lucky enough to be next to the parks one and only fire bin.

Has a pool and a spa the reception lady cooked a nice breakfast. But the toilet facilities are unhygienic. We stayed 2 nights and they were not cleaned. Door hanging by one hinge and the lights not working. Worst toilet block we have encountered in the last 3 months of travel.

So there you are in the middle of nowhere needing a shower and a nice, basic place to stay. This is the place for you.Rooms are clean and functional and the facilities are well kept with the service nice and friendly.

Good facilities, basic but clean & I do appreciate that. Stayed 2 nights, had dinner & breakfast there & was well satisfied with both. Good place to support, $20pn for power & water & use of facilities, & they have a nice pool for bit warmer weather. Walk to the town pub, short drive to the new Natural History Complex, which is a work in progress.
