What a gorgeous salon! Michael is the best hairdresser in the GC - hands down! Would trust no one else with my hair now.Margaritas and protein balls to snack on. Plus love their ‘go green’ attitude with bio degradable towels etc! Love this place!

I'm really excited to have found The Studio Upstairs! Caity and Jess are so professional at managing the space, and the space itself is light and bright with the perfect amount of props and decor for photoshoot backdrops. The space is also perfect for Sunday personal styling events for my fashion label and boutique clients. As I'm Brisbane based, this Burleigh studio offers me a working space to be able to cater to my Gold Coast customers. Hot tip* Book more hours than you think you'll need as once you get started you won't want to leave in a hurry!

I had my hair done at TSU last night, and I wanted to refrain from writing anything because I wasn’t sure if I was dreaming…. However after I woke up this morning I soon realised that it was in fact a reality.I’ve been looking forward/waiting for an appointment with Torie for longer than I can remember, and finally the Hair Gods summoned me into her Chapel of Artistry (how EXCITING!)From the moment I walked upstairs, I was greeted with nothing but warm smiles and vibrant faces - I’ve only ever heard rumours about this feeling but I can say that experience alone was worth the wait.Torie is nothing short of a magician… I’m sure if there was the Hair version of the Sistine Chapel, Torie was the artist responsible for creating it. Her technique and poise is something seen in only the most expert stylists.I felt right at home while in Torie’s chair, and was made to feel like a celebrity. The lovely Corey even delivered me my favourite cold beverage while I was there! (….how did she even know?!)The colour in my hair is a BULLSEYE! I’m excited to show the rest of the world my new look, I can only imagine so many new doors will open up for me because of it!Also, make sure you get the MY.VIE treatment before you leave, that is a game changer!Thank you to Torie and the whole TSU team.I’ll be back soon!

I attended last week and had an amazing experience with Danae. I first met Danae in Sydney and am impressed by her so much that travelled to see her. Danae is an experienced cutter and stylist, who is able to work with diverse hair texture. Equally importantly, Danae is authentic and down to earth. Best wishes, Edwina

I adore this creative space. As a freelance Makeup Artist, I often take my appointments at The Studio Upstairs and love my days there. The lighting is perfect and the studio is clean, fresh and beautifully styled. I also personally get my hair done here and absolutely love it, so relaxing and always a treat. Highly recommend!

I came to The Studio Upstairs yesterday for my first appointment with Danae. She cut my hair so nicely and took the time to make sure I was 100% happy with everything. The salon is lovely and clean, and overall it was a lovely experience. I’m very happy to have found The Studio Upstairs & Danae and will be back! xx
