Montego Mermaid Beach Motel

Booked over the phone late on a Sunday night. Got a cheaper rate. Guy was really helpful.Family room was more than adequate. Oven didn't work though. Would stay again

Really easy to get to and super friendly staff. Parking was great, right out the front. Our room was clean and comfy.. Bonus points for the unicorn in the pool. Thanks guys

Staff at reception are friendly and helpful.The beach is a short walk away as well as some great places to eat.There is an on site pool if the beach isn't your thing.The room and amenities are quite dated and not very sound proof. The noise pollution off the hwy travels right through the room.I highly recommend this place if you're stopping through for a night.

Would definitely stay here again. The room was clean. There was a kitchenette with microwave, fridge, kettle and toaster, tea coffee, water bottles bikkies.. ac and a tv. The only reason i didn't give 5 stars was that room 9 remote for the fan n light wasn't working. But its probably just a battery issue. The motel is right on the highway but noise was only light... not a problem for me. It was opposite woolies metro and super close to some awesome restaurants only 5 minutes walk away. Parking was easy, right out front. I arrived and booked at the last minute after hours and the manager came as soon as i rang him. And the price was great. Thanks for the stay!

Conveniently located next to take away and bottle shops. Also close to the Star Casino. Being on a busy main road though comes with the traffic noise until around 2am.Our room was clean but the smell of bleach was overwhelming as we walked in door. We had to leave the room whilst airing the room for approximately and hour before being comfortable.There was a half a toilet roll upon check in and no second roll spare.

Ever heard the saying “Lipstick on a Pig”? This is it. Minimal effort was put it to “class” the place up. - which I don’t mind if the price is in line. But I paid for lobster and got fish n’ chips. Yes the room was dirty. And the place just smelled like… garbage. Really, it smelled like a dumpster was full and hadn’t been emptied in 2 weeks.

Immaculate room and facilities. Fresh, crisp linen, modern bathroom and we'll manicured courtyard. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Only issue is road noise, but the facilities make up for that. What do you expect if you choose to stay in a Motel off the main highway. Will recommend and definitely will be back.

For a standard motel we have no complaints, clean room, basic facilities, TV and WiFi microwave, etc. The outdoor area by the pool was a special touch with nice gardens and lounge areas with games. Cute Cafe attached. Excellent location walking to the beach and next to supermarket and complex with good food/cafe selections. Yes it's on a highway so there is the car hum and occassional rev but it's expected and for a modest trip away was definitely worth it being so near the beach for a cheaper price. We had no issue with parking, we found a space and then just walked everywhere during our stay so kept it no problem!

The manager is lovely. The rooms are not very nice, we found a used towel in the shower, the windows don't block out outside noise at all, so you hear the cars on the main road all night, there are no allocated parking spaces for rooms so when we arrived late one night we had no where to park on the property we had to leave the car on the street, others staying at the property don't know how to park, and they don't know how to respect others staying there, one couple just kept on drinking and drinking till after midnight and making noise. The water from the people below us showering sounded like they were in our ro showering, the same thing when they flushed the toilet, it was not a relaxing time or aosphere for us as a family that's why we decided to leave. The staff are lovely and polite.
