Ashgrove Skatepark

I grew up in Ashgrove & about 20 years ago my friends & I petitioned for a skate park to be built in this very park, which we submitted to the councillor at the time. Finally in the last year or so they've built one, but no where as good as it could of been. It so tight & narrow, realistically u can only have up to 2 users at a time. Otherwise u'll end up crashing into one another, so u have to wait your turn. Which makes it even more difficult to social distance. There's so much unused space close by, I hope they plan on expanding it soon. Take note councillor!

Great skatepark. Heaps of scooter kids. This is a skatepark not a babysitting facility. If you bring your kids here teach them a little skatepark etiquette.

Great little park.. But it is little. And quite dusty! Would help if there was a path from the rotunda to the park so dirt doesn't get dragged on. Lots of really nice elements, the quarter is a good size and you can hit all angles from it. Love the mellow hip and there is a looooong smooth ledge (though not enough space to get speed for the whole thing). Nice little curbs etc, something for everyone. We need something like this in every suburb!

My son's 6&8 love going to the skate park, always busy

Like the park for its size and its variety. Seen a phew bullies once. One seemed liked he'd end up it jail one day. Might of had dad issues

Kids seem to like it. There's shade and water, perfect place to practice

What a fantastic little skatepark. Flows so well.Fun features with enough room to move. A quarter pipe, two manual pads, one flat the other angled with a ramp up to the larger side. A rail, coaping and gutters for board slides.Skatepark is located inside a large park with seating for viewers, and a drinking water fountain. No lights for night skating.It wasn't too crowded and the locals are very friendly. I was there from 4pm till 630pm, I saw only a few little kids stop with parents and a couple more serious skaters that were happy to make space for me as a beginner.Park #7 of the 171+ skateparks I am looking to explore in and around Brisbane.
