I really can’t commend Dr Charlotte enough. I’m a vet nurse, and sadly had to take my little old man Charlie in to be euthanised at 1:30am on a Monday morning due to a freak condition. Charlotte was so beyond compassionate and caring, and even though I could see the whole situation was hard on her too, she supported me through it and made the whole thing so much easier. Thank you Charlotte. I hope you read this and know how much impact you have on people doing what you do. You’re the best.

I am grateful for the care and compassion of doctors Robby & Michael in providing end of life care for Thai, our adored 19 year old cat.

All of the team were extremely helpful and caring. The after hours team contacted me right away with urgent updates which was very much appreciated.Dr Christine Hawke is such a caring, compassionate and knowledgeable professional. She took time out of her busy schedule on multiple occasions to talk me through my cats procedure, recovery and after care. Her care for him and for my peace of mind made all the difference.

Took my cat here after he accidentally got some lilly pollen on his nose. The receptionists, nurses, and vets were lovely and reassuring. However, they recommended he stay for around 48rs for blood testing and observation. I agreed to the price of anywhere between approx 2500-3500, and for that, I expected top-notch care.Complimentary calls were great and gave me some relief as he was doing well.On the morning of the second day, I was told I could pick him up at 4 or 5 as it had been busy, which is 100% understandable. I was then told to come at 6, which I did and was told to wait 40mins as it was a busy day. I waited 1 hour and was told to wait another 40mins as there was an error" trying to take his blood. We took our dog there for emergency checking on 27/12 as he was having difficulties in urinating. Consultation was $298 plus holiday surcharge $85, together with other items the bill was over $600. When my own Vet reopened after the holiday, they actually suggest going to another specialist hospital as they have more advanced equipment and better doctors. Unless it is really emergency, it will be better to see your regular Vet first as the emergency service is really expensive and may not really solve the problem.

I cannot begin to praise the Sydney Veterinary Emergency and Specialists highly enough. Communication from all staff was excellent, the waiting room is spacious and clean and everyone we had interactions with was warm and caring. The consultation was thorough, tests were run quickly and we were able to leave with a plan and confidence our boy was going to be ok. We were reassured if anything changed they would happily see him again which fortunately wasn't required. Excellent service!

We saw Dr Dan James at SVES who was excellent - very thorough and gave me detailed information to help me to help my dog - his diagnosis was on the mark and I have a better understanding of why my dog was not coping as he was in considerable pain. We have followed his professional advice and I have to say it was wonderful to see my dog bursting with happiness wagging his tail like mad and enjoying his quality of life as he should. Amazingly compassionate and patient staff - especially those on the front desk. My poor injured Great Dane and I turned up last Friday after being turned away from multiple other practices (because my dog has severe anxiety issues and is difficult to persuade to leave the car and enter the clinic). Highly recommend.

I would not recommend going here. My senior cat got misdiagnosed for a simple UTI that a dose of antibiotics would have fixed in no time. They did not test for it even though her symptoms where text book. Instead we were given strong pain killers and anti seizure medication and the wrong advise. There was no sense of urgency and I was very disappointed that an obvious problem was ignored. My regular vet sorted out in no time.
