AAMI Assessment Centre

Alas, if only there was 0 star to pick for my experience with AAMI. Been with them way too long and just changed. For starters they are expensive and when I needed to claim after storm damage they did only after weeks of arguing. I have now moved on to another big insurance co and saved over $300 for much better cover. I'm now 'Happy I'm NOT with AAMI'.

Worst car insurance! Not even worth half star! What is the difference between having insurance but still have to pay double amounts with doing it yourself in the private crash repair?

I think I was one of the lucky ones. Car was stolen and house broken into. Quick response. 2 days later I had a hire car. Once my car was deemed a right off, was paid out around 2 or so weeks. Would’ve stayed with them but they couldn’t price match other premiums.

There call wait time is unacceptable. Tried to change claim details online but was directed to the call centre. Got through after 40 minutes and progressed with the changes but then phone ran out of charge and couldn't complete or confirm the changes. You would think they would call you back to complete the information. Not AAMI. I had to call and wait all over again. They fail badly at customer complaints. They are not even interested.

Actually I want to give zero stars as this is the worst insurance company ever in my life. Customer service is awful. They should have operators with better knowledge on how to deal with claims for car accidents as these situations are mentally stressful. Waiting time is totally unacceptable. No proper follow up or informing us about the progress of a claim. I am totally dissatisfied and will never recommend this company to anyone else!!

I got car hit by guy from behind who have insurance with aami and he claim for me . I called aami with claims number after waiting 45 mins on phone, they told me to assess my car.I got my own repairer to do job and they contacted to ammi. It’s took 2 month ammi assessor to see my car and decided that they cannot accept what repairer put quote to fixed all damage area. After that I took two different quote from different repairer company and send to them but they were not accepting anything and ask me to quote below from them and only they can fixed my car. I feel kind of bully to dealt with them as no repairer ready to fixed my car what they offer me. Assessor told me he worked in this field for 40 yrs so he knew everything. At Last I have to accept bullying quotation form them to settlement and solved this problem as I don’t want to dealt with them.Anyway I was not lucky that I’m not with aami insurance .After that I ask my 2 relatives to cancel insurance with aaami and they got good deal with another insurance company.Worst company dealt with.

An awful insurance company to deal with. I have an accident with one of their customer and because I didn’t want to put a claim through my insurance company I asked the third party to claim as it was his fault and he knew it….After having a claim number I called them multiple times to follow up on the claim and they keep asked me to wait for a bit a longer as the claim is under process…Finally after 2 months of they said they can’t cover the repair cost of my car as my story do not match their customer… without any investigation they finalised the claim.Thank God I am not their customer, plus this company has 0 idea about customer service.Most if their staff are extremely rude. I wish I could give them 0 star

With aami for 40 years house and two cars. My car insurance neally doubled on 7 year old car. No claims at all. When I asked for discount for being loyal customer the young lad said they could give me $40 .I Laughed rang around got full comprehensive cover for $465 less per year. THEY NEED TO SPEND LESS ON FALSE ADVERTISING. and more on long term cuntomers. Very happy with Virgin car insurance if any one is looking for a better deal. Very helpful and lovely to talk to. Plus they gave me my agreed value not insurance value so if some ning nongs runs into me I can afford to buy a new car. With Aami I would not have been able to do this as there valuation of my hyandi was $5000 under three actually value.

Very not happy. Long time customer. Huge price increase on 2 cars' insurance. The reason is nothing to do with me. No claims.
