Pete is the best! If you’re caught in a bind with car issues, he’s the guy to call. We had horrible sounds coming from our front tires/axel after driving through very muddy, rocky terrain. With a tight timeline to figure it out, Pete was incredibly responsive, so professional and had us back on the road within an hour. He also gave us some great tips for solving the problem ourselves should it happen again. Highly recommend him... and clearly he’s loved by many in the area. Lots of people stopped to say hey or waved at him while he was working on our car.

Pete at Kangaroo Valley Mechanical is capable, knowledgeable, and adept. We hit a huge pothole and sprung an oil leak just outside of town, not knowing the road was only suitable for 4WDs. We were lucky enough to get a lift to Pete’s house, though it was already after hours when he arrived home and we had booked accommodation in Goulburn for the night. Pete came out to look at the car, went out of his way in a mad rush to find a new part for us, have it brought to Kangaroo Valley from Nowra by a friend, and get us on the road again later that night. He and his wife even found us alternate accommodation in the valley for the night in case we couldn’t get the part in time. Pete identified the problem within minutes and, once we got a hold of the part, took less than an hour to fix it. He even dropped us in town so we could have a bite to eat while he worked on the car – all after hours - then came back to bring us back out to the car. He also advised on and included some post-service care (degreaser) to ensure we wouldn’t encounter any issues from residual oil on the tyres. A genuinely decent guy (and lovely family) and we were so appreciative of his help and expertise. Couldn’t recommend enough.
