I am a dog behaviour consultant and trainer and have seen Dr Cathy in varying capacities and for different reasons:1) Visiting her in a vet practice setting to help my own dog get used to the vet environment without fear.2) Sitting in on a behaviour consult with a client I referred.3) Having Dr Cathy attend at my home to take an unrestrained, low-stress blood sample from my dog.I can highly recommend Cathy from these experiences. I have a dog who is not easily handled by vet staff, tries to escape and can be scared of new people. This can make routine vet visits, examinations and the dreaded blood draw stressful events for all involved. When you are working with someone who understands animal behaviour and body language intimately it makes the world of difference. I could immediately see her skill. Our newly adopted dog Fritz felt very comfortable with Cathy. She was able to provide us with insight into his behaviour, providing us with training exercises, toy reccomendations and tips to help him settle into his new home and manage behavioural issues. We had a great experience with Dr Lau today. She is extremely professional and thorough. She took a lot of time to understand our dog’s complex medical history, asked detailed questions about his behavioural issues and provided us with a lot of evidence based techniques to manage him. Overall, her methods are gentle and enriching for both dog and human. We received a very comprehensive plan at the end of our session.
