Pullman Reef Hotel Casino

The Pullman Reef Hotel Casino in Cairns had a mixed experience. The overall ambiance felt a bit dark and rundown, lacking in vibrant energy. The limited number of shops was disappointing, with the main focus seemingly on the pokies. However, we stumbled upon a pleasant surprise—the nice bar during happy hour, which added some enjoyment to our stay. The highlight was the wildlife park on the roof, which provided a cool and unique experience. Despite its shortcomings, the hotel's rooftop attraction and the chance to unwind at the bar made the visit somewhat worthwhile. Didn’t stay at the hotel so can’t speak to the rooms. Other reviews suggest they are nice.

Just wanted to mention a certain staff member who has always given us fantastic customer service with a smile every time we have visited Cairns on our annual Easter holiday break. Joshua in the TAB bar is outstanding!! Thank you!!

Its very tired, house keeping was hit an miss forgetting to service our room and then wasnt cleaned properly,they got our breakfast order wrong and coffees always arrived cold. However, when we pointed this out it was rectified quickly. The only thing i will say that it was in a great location. Pitty about the rest, we won't be back.

What's not to love, understated hotel right by the water front.Gorgeous views of the sea and city.The junior king suite is well appointed. There's a pod coffee machine.Little desk for workLots of charging points so you out need to bring a cable for your phone.Loved how big the place way.Tomorrow, breakfast to come. Yay.

Horrible experience with the out of control bouncers at the Casino! 4 Weeks ago I was ejected before even entering simply because I'd had a few at pub next door. With no provocation I was grabbed by 2 thug security guys who bent my wrists. I still cannot feel my finger tips on my left hand. I have looked into similar incidents there and it seems a culture. I have a huge list of similar complaints. The security manager, Gary Rakich, just shrugged it off with noted". The following is my email of 9/4/23.I just wanted to make some comment on an event on Saturday 1st April approx. 11:40pm at Casino entrance with security personnel.My partner and myself had been partying somewhat in the local pubs and she had entered the Casino for a time whilst I remained at bar next door. Great hotel with wonderful service. While the hotel is a little older, it still felt luxurious and has been very well maintained. Our room was left spotless everyday by housekeeping despite having a 16 month old with us! It’s in a very convenient location with lots of restaurants and the boat terminal for the reef only a 200m walk away. We were very happy with our decision to stay at the Pullman Reef hotel and recommend it for anyone travelling to Cairns

Staff were very attentive, excellent location close to port and the esplanade. Had breakfast and parking included which was extra convenient. Great outlook over the bay from the rooms.

Absolutely LOVED my stay at the Pullman Reef casino! Felt at home with large rooms and great outlooks. Perfect location too right acriss the road from the waterfront with the resturamts and diving.Big shout out to the doorman/concierge - I think if my memory serves me well was called Matt, who went above and beyond to find my bag when I stupidly left it with a bunch of outgoing bags!! he gave me great advice and guidance on my stay and had dutifully collected all my deliveries. It was also wonderful to meet a fellow kiwi over there.Thanks Pullman I will be back!

This review will stay til I return in 6 to 8 months time.If heading to the casino, it will not play, walking around I see alot of sad faces, drinks are nice and nicely made by friendly staff.Not many new slot ( is our dated) was going to get a room after my stay at the Hilton but over all my experience was disappointing

Had a great night out...small casino but plenty of machines and gaming tables for everyone to play and or watch....sports bar upstairs if you are not interested in gambling
