A BAD NIGHT OUTWe accepted a booking at 8pm after a mix up and ordered a $70 bottle of wine and an 1 entree and 2 mains expecting a lovely night. Our wine and entree came soon after, when over an hour of no more service past, I approach the kitchen to ask where our mains were and advised soon next 3 min. Well when it arrived some time after the 3 minutes my wife’s main was the size of a small entree and did not look very appetising, when told she was not going to eat such a disappointment both dishes were taken from the table by Massimo and were left with no option but to pay for a bottle of wine and 1 entree $105 with no apology for the lack of service,” just a statement from Massimo things happen and they tried to accommodate us with the booking mix up, we left hungry.This restaurant was one of our go to places in the past and as we have not been in town lately we looked forward to a nice night out prior to my wife’s surgery on Monday.I note all the tables that arrived after us were served on time and had finished by the time our meals were served.A $70 bottle of wine is to enjoy over entree and mains not just entree.We would have appreciated that if you were unable to accommodate our booking due to the large booking you had out the back room , we would have gone elsewhere and had a more enjoyable evening.You have lost a long standing customer

Hands down the best Italian restaurant I’ve ever tried. Their service is impeccable and food is simply amazing. I highly recommend dining here!

Saltimbocca Italian Restaurant
Wonderful Italian foods served here which are all delicious and visually appealing.Started with the octopus which was grilled to perfection covered with tomato based sauce.We had linguine marinara that came with mussels,prawns and squid.Crab totallini and fettuccine were both delicious.All washed down with chanti and perrigini sparkling water.Tiramisu was our dessert.

This is the best Italian restaurant I have ever been to in Melbourne. Friendly staff, beautiful place and very delicious food. Highly recommend Marinara and Carbonara, also the pistachio ice-cream, I have recommended to my friends and all of them love it. ❤️

Loved this restaurant. I was looking for something classy and quiet and had amazing selection of foods.I need to go back to try all the different pasta options but this time it was all about steak and oysters. Perfect cut of meat and cooked exactly how i wanted. The side of mash was so nice and brought as a separate dish with the salad. The oysters were really fresh too and 6 were just not enough for 2!The desserts choices were fantastic. Had a chocolate pudding and a raspberry panacotta.I love the fact it's an Italian restaurant and you can tell all throughout that its authentic too.100% going back again! What a great find in the bayside suburbs!

Every once in a while you come across a real gem like this. Went on a bitterly cold Monday night and was surprised to find the restaurant almost at capacity!The ambiance and decor was tasteful and not overly showy, the service was polite without being overbearing, and the food is a delight.Can recommend the Arancini, the gnocchi Quattro formaggi and the creme brûlée. Food was delivered quite promptly which I appreciated as I was famished!I will definitely need to come back.

Went here with my girlfriend for Valentine’s Day dinner. We were only given the option to order off of the $90pp set menu unless we had allergies to seafood, where they said they’d make an exception for the entree. However, after ordering, tables next to us were given the option to order off of the normal menu. On top of this, we were charged $13 for mineral water! Maybe this experience comes down to being naive, but I feel I was taken advantage of by the staff. Food was ok but not worth the price. Won’t be coming back.
