Excellent night out! Exactly what the group and I were looking for to celebrate after a hard week's work. The atmosphere was just great and the staff had a joyful, warm and welcoming attitude, the food was magnificent in every way and the service was to a professional level of commitment and efficiency. Well done to all who work there and the manager/owner.

Really great food, came out quickly and super friendly staff and patrons. Everyone said hello, asked how the food was; and while I was there didn’t fuss when a group came in after the kitchen hours ended, just went in, checked with the staff and got the group sorted. The kitchen didn’t even seem to mind. Unheard of areas.

Googled best pub lunch in Launceston and came up with The Plough Inn Yep always pays to google! Service was lovely and we had a couple of scotch fillets that were excellent! Generous size, cooked to perfection with a side of crispy chips pepper sauce and tasty slaw. Add a local tassie Chardonnay ♡ Taskeno available and a gaming room. Paid parking right next door $4 hr

Had to wait till the staff had finishing talking to get a drink. The food was disgusting. The chips were cooked in oil that tasted like it had never been changed and the platter for 2 had old stale cheese, one stuffed capsicum that was well an truly out of date and very dry on its way out meat.

Had to try Ploughman's Inn from all the positive reviews, and glad I did. The bistro area is very nicely renovated however advisable to make a booking as they can get busy. I ordered the Seafood platter for one, servings are very generous and absolutely delicious.Very nice dinner.

Really great food and service!Staff were really welcoming and friendly and explained the set up for ordering for food etc. We ordered the Peking Duck Spring Rolls, Prawn Cocktail, Scallop and Bacon Skewers and Fried Prawn and Ginger Dumplings to share. The food was really delicious (the prawn cocktail was huge) and came out quickly.We were located in the Wine Bar but must say it felt closer to being a sports bar with the tv screens and gambling paraphernalia.Would definitely recommend the food and service here - it was just not the ‘pub’ vibe we were looking for and that was probably more our fault than theirs.
