Was lucky enough to have celebrated my birthday 20 Dec 2021 at The Snug a small Irish Bar, beautifully decorated with a charming Irish touch. It has everything you could want in a snug little bar. Yes the owners are Irish so Guiness is on tap as well as a variety of largers & beers. An impressive cocktail & top shelf selection reads like the World map. The staff were very welcoming & attentive. Great layed back music playing in the background gives The Snugs atmosphere a warm cosy & relaxed vibe. We were a hungry group of six who ordered the locals favourite the Lux Cheese Platter.... It was so moorishly delicious we had to order another one, along with Hotpots & Fish n Chips. Our table was laid with scrumish dishes of yummy food and many scooners of Guiness, Largers, Wine, Jimmys and a Cocktail or two. Smiles all round got bigger as the laughs got louder. Didn't think it could get any better but it did!! When the live music started. We finished off our night rocking out to Jimmy Barnes. It was the best birthday celebration I've had in years. The Snug is now our only go to Bar in the Shire ❤❤

Small but very cosy bar/restaurant.Irish owners with Guiness on tap of course.Stools around wine barrels outside and stools and chairs inside with a few booths.Just what Gymea needs.Staff very friendly. Told the lasagna is worth a try

The Shires best kept secret!! Great place to chill,or go full party mode. Brilliant selection of cocktails all served with friendly staff more that willing to have a good time themselves. With the added bonus of having live music with some of the best local talent.

We had a milestone celebration with approx 50 guests in April 2022. The bar itself was the perfect location with very user friendly indoor and outdoor spaces, with that Irish pub decor and ambience.They had a more than an ample (and worthy) selection of beer, cider, wine, spirits, on offer, with the cocktails getting a thorough workout - and a huge hit amongst attendees.The management and staff were very accommodating both before and during the event, which essentially removed any stresses and allowed us to focus on having a great time.Highly recommended and The Snug will definitely be on the list for future occasions, both large and small.

Lovely local bar. So thrilled to have this in Gymea. Friendly staff and atmosphere. Been coming since they opened. Just one star less because I like to come for a meal and drinks and although the food is very nice it would be great to see the menu varied a touch. Perhaps a couple of specials now and again and something more for vegetarians. Otherwise it's a fantastic place to visit.

I drove 900 kms to go to the Snug Bar and it was well worth it. Great venue with an awesome ambiance. This is what Gymea has been missing. Live music, great cocktails and awesome toasties. It’s our afternoon go to bar. Get to the Snug bar and it will become your regular. Heading home in a week and I will miss the Snug Bar. Cheers.
