I love Mecca but everytime i go in the Canberra city Mecca its either a hit or miss. Some visits are really nice and the staff are lovely but other visits they don't even want to look at you. I went in last week and the two mecca girls next to me were having a very private conversation right on the shop floor. I work retail too and i love working shifts with my friends but some conversations can be saved for lunch time.

I always shop at Mecca and have bought numerous products from them however I was flabbergasted at how we were treated. Some staff were welcoming, however the “colour specialist” who helped us did not explain much nor give any friendly vibes except for a poker face with condescending looks. She never once smiled at us aka the “customers”. We weren’t being rude at all too. Not sure if it’s because we don’t look caucasian? Waste of money, no customer service skills. Not an enjoyable experience. PSA: shop at Sydney branches instead. Worth the 3hr drive tbh

I went in to buy a bunch of stuff and needed some assistance since I didn’t have much experience with beauty, the girl I asked was so rude and hardly helped me with what I was trying to look for which was really disheartening because I was so excited, and the worst part was she insinuated I couldn’t afford all the stuff I wanted for no reason, it was so rude and condescending she should not be working in customer service, I walked out with nothing and went to Sephora. She was a brown girl I believe her name was gazal. I wasn’t going to write this review but this is not acceptable all I wanted was some help and I was treated like an inconvenience.

I had such a lovely experience in the store today!! I was looking through the perfumes and one of the staff told me that there was a scent specialist that could help give me some recommendations. Jade (the scent specialist) was so lovely! She knew about all of the perfumes and was able to give me suggestions based on the scents that I already like and she was so spot on with all of them. She was so great!!!! I don’t write reviews a lot so I don’t know how to end this but basically Jade was amazing and I’ll be asking for her any time I want to buy a new perfume !!!

Nice cosmetic and skincare shop with good brands located in Canberra centre ground floor. Most of the products price range from moderate to expensive but good quality. The salespersons are friendly and helpful.

Not all heros wear capes! The beautiful girls at Mecca Maxima absolutely saved the day when our bride to be received a terrible make up job just before her hens party. Our bride was in tears and left not looking only amazing but the lovely Mecca staff wouldn't accept payment. You were all amazing x

Came in to get some Too Faced concealer - and some other products as well - for the first time and Tess was an amazing help in finding me the right shade. She was incredibly friendly and very willing to help me do a colour match test and select the correct shade and product. The overall customer service was amazing, all the girls are so friendly and getting served at the register was fast. The store was very clean and pretty and I was able to find what I wanted very easily. I signed up to the Mecca Membership and will be returning to this store for more products in the future!!

I came in near closing time with an annoying enquiry and the two blonde girls at the counter were literally the sweetest and helped me out. They didn’t make me feel like it was an inconvenience at all and I truly appreciated that because I was so nervous about coming in.
