Stillwater at Crittenden

More than just a winery restaurant, this is a restaurant at a winery! The food is brilliant, party of 4 and everyone was very impressed with every dish, serving sizes exceed what you normal receive with this quality of food. Fresh, hot & full of well balanced flavours. Staff were friendly and efficient without being intrusive and the grounds are picturesque. Would recommend, can’t fault anything!

Three stars are ONLY for the food. The food was lovely presented and tasty good but this place is let down by the service. They should make this place self serve. We had to ask to see the menus then ask for items left off our order and side dishes that never appeared. Service is slow and chaotic. The restaurant is set in lovely grounds and has so much potential. If only staff were more professional and less forgetful.

We had our wedding at Stillwater two weeks ago and it was the best day ever! Thanks to the organisation and preparation ahead of time from Harriet, and Montana and the team on the day, our wedding day ran smoothly and exactly how we envisioned it! The venue itself is absolutely stunning so our photos look incredible! The food was amazing too - everyone LOVED the pork belly entree! Thanks so much again for an incredible wedding day! Simply stunning food! Sensational produce, treated with great respect.6 of us ate there over the King's birthday long weekend. The prawns were so succulent. The eye fillet: sensational. And the pork cheek with polenta! Loved it all! All of us did.Two courses for $75, was such value given the quality of the product, portion size and, importantly, taste.A great afternoon. Well done team!

This venue has a relaxed vibe with friendly and accommodating staff and delicious food. There is a huge selection of wines at reasonable prices. It is also child friendly. It is vibrant to suit any occasion. You can take a stroll down by the lake or walk the lush green lawns. It also accomodates wedding ceremonies and receptions and the ambience is perfect for the special occasion. We will definitely be coming back here again.

We had a wonderful Saturday evening in early September of 2022 at Stillwater.We went early, around 6 pm, to take in the beautifully landscaped gardens looking out towards the lake, for which I assume the restaurant gets its name. I can't wait to come back during the summer months.The restaurant whilst large, still feels cozy, and we were seated by the window overlooking the lake and garden. It has two main sections, and I imagine that would make for a great celebratory venue.We were warmly greeted with recognition of our anniversary and asked if we wanted still or sparkling. With the sparkling water we were also presented with a glass of Australian sparkling on the house.The menu is great and I've included a picture, and for me I was left with many options that I would have been equally satisfied with.We ordered everything to share, and one item that came as 3 pieces without even our asking; they offered to make it 4, which is really considered and very appreciated.The food was all down very well. I will be absolutely offering guests at my table dukka as an option to have with their bread.The pricing is based on how many courses you choose. We ordered a starter, 2 entries and 2 mains and 1 side and couldn't make it to dessert.Also loved the Pinot Noir from this winery.The service on our night was exceptional from start to finish, which I complimented them on as Covid has impacted a lot of places. I only wish I could have left a tip.I am looking forward to coming back and will be updating our guest book at Alwyn Retreat in Rye to recommend coming here.Furthermore, if you have an electric car, they have charging facilities.See you in the summer!

Great food & beautiful restaurant with amazing interiors overlooking beautiful green open space.They have indoor & outdoor seating.We tried the following,- Steak- Baramundi fish fillet.- green salad- grilled prawns- Pasta for the kids- Affogato dessertThe appetizers & the dessert were a staple but I wasn’t a fan of the baramundi fish, didn’t taste nice neither was it rich in any flavours.But the prawns shouldn’t be missed by all means!It’s quite an expensive place especially that it’s based on set menu items where you get to choose either 2 sets for 75$ pp or 3 sets for 90$ pp & everyone should order, me n my husband weren’t so hungry & wanted to order only 1 set plus an additional entree but we weren’t allowed to do that which somehow did disappoint us.But we are definitely coming back.

The service was excellent, and we enjoyed the starters and dessert. However, we were disappointed with the flavor and preparation of the steak. Despite its good flavor, all the steaks were overcooked and tough, lacking the desired medium rare doneness. Additionally, they were overly dry.

Came here for a lunch on a Saturday and was pleasantly surprised. The food was great as was the service. One of the better wineries I’ve been to for food and would definitely make a trip back here if I was in the area.

A fantastic spot to visit. The winery is surrounded by a lovely park and lakes.A wine tasting excursion is also available. The staff is kind and knowledgeable, and they can provide excellent wine recommendations as well as information on the history of each wine.It is highly recommended that you visit this location.
