I took 2times passport photos still not right .. the first time the email address I gave to them didn’t receive my digital photo . Waited for 2 days .. then I went to pay another $19 to take another photo and give them a new email address but the background is blue ..I didn’t realise it and then once I apply visa online I realise it has to be white background .. the board was white and I don’t understand why it comes to paleblue background , then I went again , they said I didn’t tell them it should be white background. I have to pay another $19. Then I asked the background has to be white as requested, the staff said you could pay we could take another photo for you but the background just as it is .. I said can you make sure it is white she answered no it is as it is … I have to find out another place to do this now ..

Just had the loveliest interaction with Varouk at Katoomba PO. I'm a small business owner so post quite frequently, I walked into the store this morning to an older man being irate and venting his frustrations to Varouk escalating to threats of violence against his delivery driver (I'm sure this is a regular occurrence). Varouk handled it so calmly and professionally, when I was next I would not of expected a chirpy demeanour, but Varouk was so lovely and noticed my packaging and asked if I owned a business. When I confirmed he let me know about business discounts and then helped me set up an account so I get discounts on my business packages moving forward. This was just a small gesture, but I've worked in customer service for many years and know how the general public can treat you. Give the man a raise!

If you can get there during weekday business hours, the service is ok. Unfortunately they close on Saturdays which makes it impossible for those of us who work weekdays.

Really disappointed that Katoomba P/O is now closed on Saturdays. It's already challenging living in the Blue Mountains, with limited post offices and opening hours as it is. I don't understand - isn't the population growth and business increasing here, isn't there a need for longer opening hours? I understand covid may be a factor but it just seems impractical. Many of us can't access the post office during full time working hours through the week, and as for someone who sells products online and needs to send them off within a relative time frame - it's really difficult!Please reopen on a Saturday Katoomba P/O - even if it's a for a shorter time period, surely?From a sad Blue Mountains customer.

Honestly I hope Katoomba Post Office staff or management will read this. Quit if you hate your job and customer so much, there are other people will be happily take over your job. You are working there to served customer, so take your long face and unfriendly attitude home where you don't have to serve the public.

Staff move impressively slow and when you do make it to the desk are not helpful nor make any effort to be. Poor service in all aspects.

Worst post office in the blue mountains. Staff are not helpful and some rude and unprofessional. I went there to get a Passport photo later came back to process my passport application and was served with rude service. I then took my business elsewhere and was told told the photo taken for my passport( at katoomba post office ) dose not apply with the regulations.I am now willing to travel elsewhere and further distance to get better customer service - thankyou winmalee post office for you amazing help and being remorseful and understanding and going out of your wayKatoomba post office I’m very disappointed you have caused great stress for simply going on holiday

Please check your passport photo before you pay or go somewhere else to take passport photo...the quality of passport photo is not that good...

the ladies are always pleasant, efficient and helpful when I go in.The last Month I had been organising an urgent passport and a staff member in particular did everything she could to help me with the paperwork and give me proper direction.I cant thankyou enough for your exceptional customer service
