Serenity Lodge Day Spa - Balcolyn, Morisset peninsular

I have been coming to Serenity Lodge for nearly 10 years. I travel extensively locally and overseas and keep coming back for both relaxation and remediation as I have never found anywhere that matches the superb quality at Serenity Lodge. The facilities are very clean, very modern and always enticing with the fresh aromas of the spa and therapeutic oils. There is simply nowhere else you will find such a good one stop shop for a quality experience as delivered by Serenity Lodge.

My afternoon at Serenity was very relaxing. Just what I needed at 28 weeks pregnant. I went with the intention of relaxing, but today have woken up without pain in my pelvis for the first time in 2 months. Thanks Fay!

Hubby surprised me with a pamper package at Serenity. Read the bio and I can tell you it’s not the luxurious surroundings mentioned but in fact a dated 1950’s setting. You start with a long 20 min(?) soak (time waster!) in a dated home spa and lookout is through a dirty cobwebbed window. Then the ‘’massage” begins…I say massage but it felt like someone just lightly applying suntan lotion on. No massage here. Then run the nails along and move to next part. Arms, legs and back just lightly rubbing some oil(?) or something on. Again no relief from a “massage” then a cold washer wipe off. Then you have to stop, get up for “refreshments” and sit in another room for lukewarm (store brought) small apple pie, dob of yoghurt and coffee?? Why would you interrupt someone from a relaxation massage. So then back after “waiting/sitting” (time wasting) in the dated main lounge area back into the massage room for a facial - I mean wipe over with some oil/cream and washer wipe off. Then the 2 minute head “rub”? What an experience I was sooo disappointed that hubby had wasted our money on this experience. Massage it was not. Not sure if this ‘naturopath?’ has had any massage training but it sure didn’t seem like it. Lovely elderly lady with a “backyard business”. I felt like I was in a time warp! I’ve never had a “massage/pamper” like that. Sorry to say this was the worst pamper I’ve ever had. Please spend your money elsewhere on a proper massage therapist. This felt so amateur and definitely not luxurious.

I was lucky enough to receive a gift certificate for a day spa at Serenity Day Spa from my husband for my birthday. Fay was lovely! I am very pregnant so she was very considerate of all my pregnancy needs, extremely helpful with making sure I was always comfortable and made sure all the products and scents used were pregnancy safe. Everything was clean and tidy, the apple pie was yum and I felt so relaxed and rejuvenated afterwards. I would definitely recommend all of what I received today, the spa, massage, facial, head massage and afternoon tea. Fay was also very accommodating with my husband in arranging the surprise gift. The Prenatal Massage and Hydrotherapy Spa was so relaxing, especially with the custom massage bed so I could lay on my stomach for a proper back massage. My husband also got to relax with the spa and a massage at the same time. Lovely way to spend an afternoon.

Highly recommend pregnancy treatment. Fay is lovely and makes you feel comfortable and relaxed. Whole experience was relaxing and great from the get go. Loved that Fay uses all natural products and just friendly clean environment

Had a fantastic morning with Fay. Took my wife (who is 7 months pregnant) for a spa morning to take away a few aches and pains. We both had a nice hydro-therapy session then massages. Fay's place has amazing views over the lake and there's a really nice walk to do after the spa. Highly recommended.

This retreat is amazing........serenity really is what I found, spotlessly clean, beds are very comfortable. The spa has no nasty chlorine smell and is so relaxing. A 1 minute walk to beautiful Lake Macquarie. I can highly recommend staying at this beautiful place.

We spent the most relaxing morning at Serenity Day Spa in October 2018. Fay’s spa was just what I needed after getting home from a long overseas trip! Everything was so lovely and I left feeling refreshed and rejuvenated! I would highly recommend Serenity to anyone wanting a beautiful relaxing experience! I’ll definitely be back. Thank you!
