Was really excited for CYs to be back, couldn't wait for the amazing food and pub atmosphere. The service was good. I had the veal schnitzel, it had no flavour, the oil from the schnitzel soaked into the chips at the bottom. On the side had potato with bacon and some other things I couldn't recognise, potatoes were so hard and dry, the salad" on the side confused me and was absolutely terrible. The entire dish was flavourless. Would have loved a steak but I was not about to pay $62. If the food was as good as it used to be

Ordered via QR code at table. Quick food and good service. Good atmosphere. Satisfying food. Great size of food portions. Complementing food flavours! Will be back!Photo includes steak burger and teryaki chicken salad (CHAR SUI SALAD), which is awesome, btw!

I would of given 5 stars if I was doing this review purely on my dish but not all dishes were 5 stars at our table. We went with a party of 4 I got the $56 Scotch Fillet, my partner got the pasta, another person got the Beef Burger and the last person got the Chicken Parmi. The Steak and beef burger were 5 stars all day yet the Parmi and Pasta were 3 stars at the most. Like many reviews on here the consistency across dishes isn't there. Also the bar area is very tight and makes it uncomfortable if you are on the table right next to the bar. On a side note I would of normally got the steak sandwich but all the negative reviews have put me off and I hope they fix this issue one day soon.

My party and I had made a reservation for the inside Kathleen Room Mezzanine for three people, and upon arrival, we were disappointed to find the upstairs to find the mezzanine unlit and unprepared for service. There was no host or clear signage to indicate where we should wait to be seated. After waiting in line at the bar, the staff were polite but seemed concerned when I showed them my booking confirmation. We were eventually shown to a table outside and told that we could order via the app. While we understand that there may be staffing shortages, we were not informed of this change and were unprepared for outdoor seating. One member of our party is a severe asthmatic, and we had specifically booked an inside table to ensure that they could breathe comfortably. Unfortunately, the cold air made it difficult for them to get enough air.In addition, the experience with the drinks was also disappointing. One of the drinks was not what we thought we had ordered, the hostess who was polite and pleasant took a second look and informed us that it was the right drink just garnished wrong. The drinks did have good flavour profiles, however, while we understand things happen. It added to our frustration and disappointment with the overall experience.Furthermore, the Melaleuka Farmhouse Trio that we ordered was not up to our expectations. While we enjoy high-quality locally grown meat and are happy to support the farmer we were disappointed with what was presented. Despite the pub's emphasis on delivering a farm-to-table experience and using premium locally grown meat, the meat was overcooked and overshadowed by the sides. We appreciate the effort to support local farmers, but the execution fell short of our expectations. While the Southern Fried Chicken Burger was okay, it did not live up to its price point. The brioche bun felt stale and the chicken was dry, making the overall burger experience disappointing. The addition of sriracha did little to make up for the dryness in the dish.Overall, we were disappointed with our experience at the new CY O'Connor Village pub. We have had several pleasant experiences at Tilly's garden and enjoyed beautifully cooked kangaroo and crocodiles. We were excited to try the pub's new menu and support local farmers, but the execution and value fell short of our expectations. We were also looking forward to the steak house however have reservations based on tonight's experience. We miss the old establishment and hope that the pub can work to improve the quality and value of its menu in the future.

4 years ago I almost gave this place a 5 star, beautiful atmosphere and awesome food. After tonight I don't see myself going back there again, the service was great but the food was blander than hospital food. Besides from the fries that buttermilk chicken burger was tasteless as well as my partner's parmy. The price increase is insane, $62 just for a 300g steak, you think I'm crazy. Looks like the old CYO will only live on in our memories. They did away with the open space in the center is gone, now just a narrow passage to your booth and a few high tables with stools, blocked off a few dining tables. Maybe this place is for some people but not for us, farewell.

Food was quite mundane and service a bit delayed - having to wait for a while for drinks and food to be served. I did feel it wasn't as good as before, but time will tell as the restaurant had just opened its doors a short while back.Beef Schnitzel" was average
