The Cafe 1839
Had lunch here and enjoyed their chicken pesto linguine and the latte but the Angry Bird wasn’t as exciting as its name. Staff were nice and welcoming. Place was pretty cute and loved the blankets they provided for customers!

Had late breakfast here yesterday and I enjoyed their food. My breakky bruschetta came with well seasoned mushrooms and tomatoes. The egg also had the right texture.The staffs were welcoming even though we arrived at a busy time. Plus, the overall design of the place also feels warm and makes you enjoy your meal more.They make good coffee which is enough reason for me to come back.

This lovely cafe is situated on the main road in Hahndorf. Nice cafe ambiance with friendly staff. Items offered here are good with reasonable pricing. The only negative was the momos, even though the filling was delicious.. the skin was a bit tough. This can definitely be improved. The gumbo was rich in flavour and tasty. One of the best I've ever tasted. The coffees here are excellent. Nice place to chill and see the people walk by.

A rustic looking cafe in the middle of Hahndorf, full of characters. We had coffee and breakfast. The coffees were perfect, while the breakfast was well presented but the contents were about average. However the price was very affordable, so overall I’d say it’s value for money. The service was friendly. A very welcoming and comfortable place for a relaxing pit stop.

Had breakfast there. Cute little intimate rustic setting. Absolutely delicious food. Perfectly cooked. Wonderful service too topped with great coffee. We live in Sydney or we would be back tomorrow. Thankyou.

Absolutely shocking! I came at 11:30am with my daughter (toddler). There were 3 other tables, 2 of which already had their food. Was greeted when walking through the door which was nice, but when I tried to order a banana smoothie the guy on the coffee machine interrupted saying no

Cafe 1839 was great. The friendly service and detailed recommendations were welcomed and appreciated!A great range of food and drink to cover breakfast, brunch and lunch. Generous food portions and the only thing stopping a 4 star being a 5 star is slightly higher prices than similar offered products elsewhere locally.Out door dining with blankets for winter but not a lot of under cover to escape the hot sun.Great little kids corner to help keep the little ones entertained.
