I have dealt with Patons for the last several years now and spent literally thousands of dollars on parts and servicing. I've found their service to be a bit hit and miss, although the Parts Manager, Eric, is great value and really helpful. Probably the main reason we've kept going back to be honest.Being a premium Silvan dealer, earlier this week we ordered a Silvan spreader, this time dealing with Jack.Despite already having the exact same item in stock, Jack told me that we couldn't have that item as it was ordered in at full price (the new Silvan Spring catalogue had the same item several hundred dollars cheaper). I would've thought that a sale was a sale, but anywhoo, I jumped through the hoops and ordered the spreader with accompanying agitator.There the problems began.I was told that I would have to pay a $50 delivery fee to have the item shipped. I agreed, thinking that the item was to be shipped directly to my home from Silvan, so made the payment. When the paperwork came through I realised that the delivery fee was for the item to be delivered to Patons. In actual fact, Patons do regular runs to Silvan and were already going there the next day anyway, but they felt it was a good idea to have me help pay for the trip.I queried this and was told it was so that they could fit the agitator - a small item that literally sits inside the spreader and requires no specialist knowledge to fit. I would still, therefore, have to pick the item up from Patons.I realised - as has happened previously with them - that I was being dudded. Since when does a product agent charge delivery to have one of their regular catalogue items delivered to the store - particularly when they already had one in stock.So I rang around to see if this was the norm and I happened to speak with Darren from Hastings Produce (refer to my review for that business). He told me that not only were they able to get the item from Silvan at the catalogue price (despite not being a premium Silvan agent), they would deliver it to my farm for free.Clearly the customer service between the two businesses was chalk and cheese and I therefore cancelled my order with Patons. This was done within 90 minutes of the payment transaction mind you. I was less than impressed with their customer service, but to be fair to them I didn't want to stuff them around.I spoke to Jack and lied to him about the reason for the cancellation. Frankly, I did this to avoid a confrontation with him as I was pretty peeved and at the end of the day the reason for the cancellation was none of his business. Jack agreed to a refund and the matter was finalised.I had made a conscious decision by this time that I'd well and truly had enough of Patons and refused to deal with them anymore. I simply can't afford their over-pricing and poor customer service.The next day Hastings Produce advised that they'd received a call requesting that my order be cancelled and had also received a phone call from David at Patons.Clearly Patons had somehow become aware of my purchase via another merchant, presumably via Silvan themselves. This David then took it upon himself to ring me directly, although I'd never had any prior dealings with him.Rather than attempt to identify any problems and even perhaps attempt to remedy them to avoid losing a sale he literally demanded that I explain my reasons for cancelling the order before barking at me that neither myself nor my wife (who had nothing to do with any part of this fiasco) were not to put a foot inside our gates" before slamming down the phone.Suited me just fine!Footnote: Because we're not allowed to enter their gates and be ripped off any more by Patons

Great team to deal with, bought a zero turn from Jack and David and after 6 months the mower had a minor warranty issue, they sent the parts out for fitment and job done! Too easy!! Buy all your Kubota stuff from here, won't be disappointed and the product is excellent.

Purchased a new Kabota tractor and I couldn't be any happier. Nothing was too much trouble for this business and they happily delivered to the dock for transport to Tasmania for me. The price was fantastic and was cheaper to freight it to Tassie than to buy from a local dealer.David was very knowledgeable and fantastic to deal with. Answered all my questions and never pressured me for a purchase over the week or so I debated it. Chelsea (I think) organised all the paperwork and payments and was lovely.I couldn't recommend this business any higher. I even obtain my consumables such as filters through Paton's Machinery.Well done!!!

We recently purchased a large property and needed some new equipment and old equipment serviced. I'd never stepped foot in a machinery business before. Found the guys at Patons were so helpful, respectful and honest. I told them my budget - they gave me excellent advise and prevented me from making unnecessary purchases by selecting the right machine for the job, coming in under budget. Nothing was too difficult and their knowledge of all machines was extensive. I don't know if they were the cheapest - but I was happy to pay for the professional treatment I received - will always go back to Patons.

This is the first time we’ve dealt with this company and we had nothing but absolute first class service. And I mean first class! These guys are great!We just purchased our kubota RTV and silvan sprayer. The sprayer was scratched and one of the pipes came lose putting weed killer and red ink all over the RTV. Clearly not their fault and just a minor issue with the sprayer. They IMMEDIATELY picked up the kubota and the sprayer. The next day by lunch they completely detailed the kubota rtv and replaced the sprayer with a completely new spray unit.I don’t know why they would have any negative feedback on here because these guys are seriously excellent. I’ve recommended them to all our family and friends and we will be buying all our machinery from them.Excellent from beginning!Thanks guys!Doriano and Vanessa

Never had a bad experience with Paton's over the last 10 years (approx). Very knowledgeable and helpful with all of my enquiries and service/parts/equipment needs. Would happily recommend them to anyone.

I've been a regular customer for many years now, and have always found Paton's service to be exceptional. After sales support for my kubota tractor is great and they were only too happy to help with any queries that ive had. Would highly recommend.

We have just purchased a kubota loader from David Our experience with this company was seamless nothing was to much trouble would highly recommend this company also Audrey in the office was very helpful good price great range of accessories for machines including pom poms
