What a total rip off. You come to a cheese factory to try the cheese, and to buy to take home. There is not one crumb of cheese to taste for free. They charge $12 for a tasting platter, and you get half the serving size that is pictured. You can actually buy double the amount of cheese for the price of the platter. The factory, and seeing the cheese making and storage is excellent,

Working dairy farm with lots of history on the development & processing of milk to also make different cheeses & associated products. There is also a shop for merchandise including cheese tastings & platters & a restaurant that was well occupied when we went on a public holiday.

A fantastic venue for tasting local Tasmanian cheese and stopping between Launceston and Devonport for coffee or a meal. We came here twice, firstly for a cheese platter, and second time for breakfast. Both were enjoyable experiences in a clean and friendly environment. The cheese selections were diverse and tasty, and affordable at $12. The toasties are amazing, with sourdough bread and delicious melted cheese. There's a well-equipped shop with a wide range of cheese, snacks and condiments to choose from.

A must visit when you are in Tasmania. Located just a few metres from the main highway. It has a wide variety of cheese churned in house for sale. There is a small in-house restaurant/cafe with cheese platter options, ice creams etc.The seating area indoor /outdoor is good to enjoy as a family. Ample parking space. The cheese from the factory was delectable, flavoursome, authentic and fresh. Flavours were unique. The information on the craftsmanship of cheese making is explained with great facts.

A place if local dairy produce, where all sorts of dairy products, especially cheese, are available for sale. All Cradle Mountain tours will take you to this location, probably locals supporting each other. Wide facilities, and very detailed descriptions of the cheese making procedures. Most products here are quite pricy, and charges up to 40c for a carry bag.Ice cream is $6 for one scoop and $7.5 for 2 scoops. Each scoop is very big, but they are too sweet (and unhealthy) for me

Lovely place to stop and get some food or have a brake from the car. Good food, nice staff. Sweet play space for the kids, well priced, and some educational information. Would have been nice to see the factory in action. Lots of setting inside and out. A lovely little gift shop as well, with a good selection of Tasmanian foods.

Great service and friendly staff, very modern set up with clear glass displays of the cheese factory operation. We went on a public holiday so unfortunately couldn't see them in action. Cheesecake was delicious, We bought a small block of vintage cheese that kept us going through the road trip. Note there's bulk bags of off cut cheese on sale for cheap if you consume large amounts of cheese!

Made a short stopover from Cradle Mountain en-route to Launceston - and it was certainly a memorable one! Ashgrove’s is a lovely dairy door with a small cafe (serving ice cream, smoothies, milkshakes and even cheese tastings!) and its own in-house cheese store (got a few vacuum packs of cheese to take home!). I enjoyed reading about the history of how Ashgrove’s Dairy and Cheese came to be:) certainly one of the best creams, milk and cheeses not just in Tasmania, but Aussie too - worth a visit (and a taste!)
