We have been three times to Fiction. The food is always a winner, tasty, nicely cooked and good value. On our first visit service was pretty good, but on the last two it has been substandard. The last time, the junior assigned to our table was painfully slow to watch, difficult to hear and seemed to faff around the register with other staff, not paying attention to her tables which made it very difficult to call her over. Note, it was only perhaps 25% full and she did not seem nervous which we could have forgiven her for. We weren't the only ones looking around for service and after 10 minutes my partner gave up and walked over to her. Our daughter, a junior at a busy inner Brisbane cafe, was appalled at how slow this girl was. To top it off, when our table was cleared by someone else he dropped the cutlery on my skirt, hardly flinched and did not seem at all apologetic.Such a shame. The kitchen seem to be doing a great job, but it's being let down by the front of house staff.

Lovely venue with beautiful view of the marina. Well presented food. Nasi goreng was very tasty and full of protein. Our Service attendant was very disinterested in efficient service or demonstrating a service ethos, but other attendants were smiling and helpful fortunately.

How goodThe view over the marina is wonderful... And the food is flawless.From the moment we walked in, the staff were friendly and efficient. You're probably thinking to yourself, isn't that what they are supposed to be?". Simple answer is YES.But... In this case you could tell they actually enjoy what they are doing and liked their jobs.That makes the friendliness genuine... And the service a pleasure.And... Once you get past the view... Love the asmophere here, everyone enjoys the sunbathing. Large inside and outside seating area. Heps of drinks variety to choose from. Definitely reasonable price for the lunch set and wine list. Can't imagine how beautiful while sunset.

Food is great, drinks are very good (even if the don't have any decent tonic!)Nicely located on the water at Raby bay, this indoor and outdoor venue provides a great atmosphere to enjoy a meal with family or friends.What really make this place worth a visit is the staff. Nathan and Ryan in particular were amazing hosts and made the night a very enjoyable one indeed.

This was not the first time I went to the restaurant. I have always had good experiences so far. The stead initially was a bit over-grilled and tasted bitter. After communicate with the staff, they did the right thing to replace it. Although it wasn’t perfect, I’d like to give it a 5 starts review and recommendation to people as they have the freidndly service attitude and decent food quality.

The food...the food is spectacular. The portions are huge, so if you get a starter and main, you will walk away very full. I had the Satay chicken starter and the Nasi Goreng main... both were beautiful. Full of flavour. I only wished I had a chance to go back to try more before my holiday ended.
