A rare thing having such a large area dedicated to a national park this close to the coast in South East Queensland. Good riding around Cooloolabin Dam and the various access roads.

Had a lovely overnight hike in to Ubajee walkers camp with friends. Very quiet and relaxing . Wonderful scenery from the viewpoint . Actually doable as a day walk from Leafy lane trailhead. Well signposted but take a map of some description. Limited mobile phone service from most providers. On site composting toilet at Ubajee and in the Day use area . Some water in tank at Ubajee but don't rely on the supply unless recent rain and prob best to treat or filter before consuming. No garbage removal service , what you bring in has to go out with you please.

Got lost in the scrub for like 9 hours... AWESOME FUN... IN SAYING THAT if you're not expirianced in extreme 4wd and orienteering DON'T GO TO RUBBER SNAKE BREAK TRAIL... enter with extreme caution as the trail barely exists now..... 4.5.2018.

Hiked to the overnight camp area then down to the water fall and back out again. 16 km round trip legs were feeling it.
