Brumby's Sorrento
Every day after school I go to Brumby's Bakery to buy food. I mostly get the custard rolls and sometimes cinnamon donuts. I also get other things, it looks a bit old fashioned and might need a renovation. It is good that the lady is always waiting for the customers to arrive. Overall I think that Brumby's Bakery is excellent.

Ok the bread and pies are great. Service was good and the stock level was fine. The signs said only 4 people inside and this is what people did. All good so far. The problem was most of the staff don't know how to where a mask or were not wearing one. Absolutely not good enough. What with the high number of people milling around outside waiting to get in and the new outbreaks in Melbourne it's not good enough. Brumby's, by this time should be setting an example. Not good enough. I won't be going back till this is fixed.

So upset. Used to love coming here as the localBakery but the owners must have sold as a totally new team with barely any product. They have only recently started serving “sourdough” again as they could not cope over summer. Unfortunately it does not taste anything like sourdough. It’s light and fluffy and tastes creamy.

There is nothing better than their donuts and a coffee in the morning.Thank you for making the best ones.Also my kids love the finger buns and the lovely, friendly staff.Will be coming back again and again.

I have just arrived home from the most terrible experience at your Brumby's store!I was waiting at the store to be served, in the interim, I was speaking to my sister on the phone about what bread to buy.The rude sales assistant proceeded to serve another customer before me so then I made her aware that I was there before the other person. She gave me a sickly sweet smile and replied, ‘I don’t serve people who are on their phone!’. I was absolutely gobsmacked, she was ever so rude that I left the store without my change.I can’t believe I was treated like this, she made me embarrassed and feel like a second class citizen!

I love Brumbys in Sorrento. The bread is perfect. Crusty on the outside, beautiful and fresh on the inside, just as bread should be.The pies and cakes are delicious too.The donuts we had were very fresh.The freshest donuts I've ever had except for donut van donuts.The service is friendly and efficient, even though like most businesses in that area, they said they were understaffed, but you couldn't tell.I will be going back there again and again. YUMMY!

So came here on a Sunday afternoon at around 1pm, so understandable that there wasn't much hot food left. No vegetarian pie options, only vegetarian pasties and cheese and spinach rolls. But they had no rolls left. The pasty was pretty good. Your average pasty. The younger lady who served us clearly had better places to be. Quite blunt and bored.

Had a very positive experience here. The food was very good. However it was the kind staff member who really made my day. Though I am a person of color, I felt I was treated with kindness and respect.Highly recommended!
