Called Pest Control Empire as the previous pest control companys' efforts had failed to control a rat problem in the roof cavity of my unit. Alan turned up on time and was very affable and professional. Alan inspected my property and suspected that I may also have a possum problem ( turned out to be correct ) and identified that the rats were also in the underfloor area of my unit as well.For the possum problem Alan found and closed off points of entry and installed a temporary one way door to allow any possums in the roof cavity to exit but not re-enter. The possum(s) has vacated my roof cavity and thankfully has not found a new entry point and has seemed to have found a new home elsewhere.As for the rat problem Alan took the time to point out the possible entry points for the rats ( there are many as rats can squeeze through ridiculously small holes for the size of their bodies ) and educated me on the things that were probably attracting that rats to my property, this I was very grateful for this as the previously pest control company had not bothered to tell me any of this and I was able to block a few entry points and trim a few overhanging tree branches to reduce access to my units roof.Importantly Alan made sure to manage my expectations on the effectiveness of rat control methods ( rat control, not rat extermination ) and detailed what I could expect from the rat control methods over the next few weeks and months. So far so good! I have noticed a measurable drop in rat activity in the roof cavity ( I hear a lot less of their little foot falls on my internal ceiling ) and the rat bait placed in my roof cavity has either been nibbled on or taken entirely and luckily none of the rats have died on my property so far, so no clean up for me :-)Would recommend Pest Control Empire Melbourne to family and friends.
