Minto Fish Market

I was after Monkfish as they were advertised as special of the week. I could not find it and the lady behind the counter told me that in Australia it is called deep sea cod and in NZ it would be called Monkfish. I bought the fish but at home I did some Google reseach and turns out this is a completely different fish. This 1-star is not about the quality of the product but because I was told the untruth to make a sale.

Very rude, poor customer service and were abusive.I purchased one item but was charged for two.I called the shop to notify them and the man said to go into the shop and they will refund the wrongful charge.When I went in a couple of days later they refused to refund even though I had the original receipt. They demanded the eftpos receipt which I didn't have. A simple cross reference from their end could of resolved the matter.They refused based on them being too busy and have no time to look into it.I demanded my money back.They then became physically and verbally abusive with me trying to push me out of the shopI am an elderly man on a walking stick!

The fish quality is good. When I asked them to cut as thin slice they denied. Not sure if it is a big ask. I will not buy hereafter. I didn’t ask for unreasonable thing. Customer service is bad.

Very bad coustomer service Aisan Man was miss behave with me charge me extra for wrong fish , when I asked him why u charge me for worng fish, he said he not going to serve me , when I said I'll go to Fair trade he said he don't care after.. u can't take my money with out my concern isn't it, few minutes after he return my fish and said sorry .. it was such bad coustomer service ever I seen so make sure if you buy any fish check the money receipt

Best quality seafood shop in the area and surrounding suburbs., with a variety of seafood. Shop is clean and no fishy smell.I m a seafood lover , so far this shop is my favorite one.

Been going here for my seafood now for about 3 years. Never disappoints, and the produce is always very fresh.I am hoping to see some Australian product peeled. cooked and frozen prawns again soon. At the moment they are all product of Thailand which have much less taste.Apart from that as said above Never disappoints.

Not a great experience with the non- English speaking Asian lady. I asked for the gut of the large Barramundi, Telapia we bought, pointed outwhat I want, asked few times again confirmed when she handed the bag, they only says yes yes for anything you ask. Also, I asked for Thin cutlet sizes to be cut, when I open the pack at home there were only 8 cutlets of the huge 3kg Barramundi. Very very much disappointed. Please make sure next time you visit to any Asian shop if they really understand and speak English other than just saying 'yes' to every question.
