Perth K9 Coach

We really enjoyed our session with Lyn. She is very knowledgeable and educated on the topic of dogs, but also shows a great deal of compassion for dog owners who just want to do the right thing by their dog, but are perhaps going about it the wrong way. What is more impressive than Lyn's in home service, is her ongoing support afterwards. She has been available when I have had questions or to provide some additional advice to us, after we completed our session. Lyn's services are such a worthy investment and I cannot recommend her highly enough!

Please do not use this company. We were also advised to use the prong collar (my Vet has advised that they are illegal to import into Australia and the RSPCA warn against them). Our rescue girl suffers severe anxiety and Lynne’s methods had her shaking in fear as Lynne tried to make her sit! She could already sit perfectly for me! Lynne was abrupt and harsh and offered little advice beyond the prong collar. She told me the same story about the same dog 4 times! Lynne refused to issue invoices or receipts (also illegal!) stating that she did not have time! (We still have not received any receipts/invoices for payments made.) I even received some rather nasty text messages from Lynne with regard to this! Our girl made some initial slight improvements with Lynne but quickly went backwards with increased anxiety and fear. We have now realised that the initial improvements were due to the fear. This fear however escalated with continued use of the collar which then lead to regression. We decided we need to find out more about these collars (which we should have done initially, however we trusted Lynne and thought that she was 'the expert').After discussions with our Vet we went to a new behaviourist (with a PhD in animal behaviour) who is intelligent, educated and kind. Our girl is now coming along in leaps and bounds!We would definitely not recommend this unprofessional company which uses unkind techniques.My feedback has nothing whatsoever to do with money. I had every intention of paying and simply stated I would pay as soon as I received the invoice I had previously requested .... because I could not remember the amount owing or Lynne's personal bank details.

Love your work, Perth K9 Coach... Can't imagine how life would be if we hadn't met you!!!! Thanks!!!An update... Our girl has continued to improve and she is easier and easier to live with - no more stress on walks, she is happy!We see another Dog and it's not the big deal it was. Occasionally if we encounter an offleash Dog that is too boisterous she will start react but using the methods you showed us, the behaviour subsides immediately an we are able to walk on without incident!We cannot tell you how grateful we are or how much we love you and the work you do!!Saying thank you just isn't enough. We owe you so much - not to mention the safety and perhaps even the life of our girl as if we hadn't got this behaviour under control it was only a matter of time before she bit another Dog! :-(Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts!!!

$690 is a lot of money to pay for 4 hours of gossip/talking. I was so naive.No assessment was made of the dog by Lynn she just sat and gossiped.Aparently Lyn you have had previous altercations at Kings Park so your lack of service/value for monies paid is an on going issue. Now Lyn you know that is not true, you have not answered emails, nore returned phone call.

I have known Lynne most of my life as my best friends mum so when i adopted a  2 year old American Staff that had never had and obedience training or been socialized with other dogs resulting in anti social reactions and severe aggression towards any other dogs Lynne was my first choice to call for help.I was absolutely amazed at the results and the changes we achieved and how quickly I learnt to manage and change Dozers aggressive and anti social behavior in a calm and controlled dog that i can take to the beach and let him off lead around other dogs he has never met before with confidence.Lynne has a direct firm no nonsense approach to training and did not hesitate to correct me if I wasnt following her directions in a training session not because she rude but because she knows how to get the best results and is passionate about the welfair of every dog she works with.

We had some good and some less good experiences with Perth K9 Coach. While the things the trainer tried to teach us weren't necessarily wrong, the teaching wasn't efficient and (we felt) we weren't given the time and support we needed to work on the problem in the appointment (both worsening dog and human reactivity).Their initial assessment appointment was supposed to be 2 hours, we are sad to say that the trainer spent 3 hours with us, and most of this time was (frustratingly) just talking to us (yes there was good information mixed in but she also spent too much time talking about unrelated things, casual chit-chat or previous dogs success stories, rather than focussing on the specific issues of our dog and topics related to this). It meant the actual practice with our dog was left to the last 15 minutes, after it had gotten dark outside. It wasn't enough time on what we actually needed and it wasnt a good test on how our dog usually behaved as there wasn't any dogs or people around. Sadly he is still having issues and I feel this is NOT necessarily because the information or techniques were wrong but we weren't given enough practice to ensure we were doing it right??In addition, in trying to arrange the appointment we were emailed information. I read through the email multiple times, as did my husband, but we couldn't see a price listed anywhere on the email, only how to pay. I responded back to ask for them price and instead of being given the answer was sent a snide the price is in the email we sent you

Six months ago Lynne came to our home to help us with our very aggressive rescue dog. I was too afraid to walk him. A few sessions with Lynne and with daily re-enforcement we now have a loving dog.I don’t know why these negative comments are on the reviews,I would highly recommend Perth K9 Coach above all else I always found Lynne very approachable, having a wealth of knowledge and booking was easy

I've had Lynne working with my Dogs over the years and I cannot falter her methods at all. I've had both aggressive and bad tempered Dogs, she's been able to work with both and taught me how to handle and command them. Her attention to detail and extra efforts for my Dogs were second to none. She's an incredible person and the best trainer I've met. I wish I still lived in Perth to have her help with my new Dogs.Thank you so much Lynne.

Perth K9 Coach you were absolutely amazing to work with! Our girl Milo was having trouble with leash aggression and demand barking, along with a few other things. We had gone through quite a few trainers before we worked with Perth K9 Coach and I am so glad that we found them! During the session I was able to understand the root causes of our pups problems.It was amazing to see the progression that Milo made in just a few hours! These trainers really understands the psychology of dogs and the insight into this has absolutely changed my perspective of what it means to be a dog owner and trainer to my girl. My goal was to have a confident, purpose driven pup and I am confident that with consistency over the coming months, I will be able to achieve that!Thank you so much Perth K9 Coach and I cant wait to be seeing the light bulb training moments in myself and our girl Milo :)

Lynne came to help me after my Dog bit my neighbour... it was very scarey and I was terrified that he would bite again.Lynne came out at very short notice and spent a LONG time with me, helping me to understand the behaviour, and what I can do to help him be more confident and less aggressive (fearful!). I cannot believe the differences made in just one day.Lynne is beyond awesome! I had spoken to many others, and Lynne's depth of knowledge is second to none. She just UNDERSTANDS Dogs!I'm sorry I didn't post sooner... because if you don't use her services, you won't be getting THE BEST! :-)
