Great place to walk with dogs on lead. Cycling would be good as it was nice and flat. You can see several varieties of birds along the way. You can join the trail at a lot of different spots.

Drove up here for a test run before organising a multi day trip on the line.. very easy riding with enjoyable scenery. Can't wait to come back and do the whole thing.

This section of the trail needs some serious improvement and maintenance! I’ve ridden on rail trails across Victoria and NSW and this is in by far the worst condition I’ve seen. Lots of sections of rough single track. I would only recommend this on a proper mountain bike - a gravel bike felt like coming under prepared. It would be a worthwhile investment to just widen it to a flat gravel surface as the section from Fernvale to Lowood is.
