St John Ambulance

I went here for the CPR training update. David, who was training us, was engaging, concise and proficient as well as including some useful relevant tips that were appreciated. A good experience all round.

Training offered was always very supportive and I know know how to handle a wide variety of first aid situations that I would’ve struggled to manage before.

Such a shame just how much gendered is being used in this place, especially in the shopIt’s not hard to say “there is a customer here” compared to “there is a man here” or “there is a woman here”.Don’t know if ST John’s is supposed to be LGBTQIA+ friendly or not, but it certainly doesn’t appear so if misgendering of people is allowed to happen like it is.

I finished my occupational Advanced first aid today and my instructor was Chris. He was absolutely amazing, very informative and helpful! I enjoyed my course 100% because of Chris and all the other students. Thanks Chris for everything....take care. Sue Clift-Brooks

Have to agree with another user, I felt the training offered here was terrible. I had a different trainer but I encountered the same issues. The trainer I had was very arrogant, rude and unprofessional. Rather than focus the day on the training, she would regularly slip in her own unnecessary anecdotes throughout the training - wasting everyone's time. I went away with a First Aid Certificate yet I don't at all feel confident in my ability to provide appropriate first aid whatsoever because of the abysmal training. I know I wasn't the only person who felt this way as when I paired up with others for a CPR exercise, the other people I spoke to felt the same way, as well as my co-workers who also attended the same training.

Good instructors, proper facility and training material.

I will never do a first aid course with st John's again.i felt so uncomfortable at this course ,the trainer arrogant ,and he embarrassed me in front of the other students. He could tell I was struggling ,on some of the things,these trainer's have to understand that some people don't don't pick some things as quick as some others.and could have helped me by giving me more time after the course to get things right,so I could pass ,but no it seemed that all he wanted to do was get home..I will not go through st John's ever again for a first aid course.and also there prices for the courses are way over the top the only thing good that came out of this course was that they are giving me a refund ,as I failed the course.to be honest I shouldn't even be giving them a one star rating!

I am trying to say something about the people flocking to the beaches. It is terrible to see so many with skin exposed to the sun, on News 24. There must be many being burnt and needing your assistance, and taken to Hospitals, off in some cases should not be. Slip Slop Slap needs to be pushed on the beaches. I have used St Johns many times for my husband, so i know how important you are.Regards Rhonda

I called an ambulance today twice and never got any help. Bleeding from a 3 inch wound in my thigh and no ambulance!!! Disgusting considering I pay for ambulance cover every year!!! I certainly won't be renewing my membership this year!! Shame on u st John's ambulance shame shame shame ...don't waste it money on ambulance cover
