YK Education provides a very welcoming and supportive environment for both students and tutors to thrive. The warm atmosphere and friendly tutors enable students to be unafraid to ask questions as they arise, which ultimately maximises their learning potential. I would have loved to be a student at YK Education during my HSC year, as it provides a space that is not too pressuring but still pushes students to achieve their personal best. YK Education has a structured approach to student learning, in which it provides a one-on-one tutoring lesson as well as a session to practice exam-style questions. Not only does YK Education excel at creating a positive learning environment, but also in building close relationships between students and their tutors.As a maths tutor who works at YK, I really enjoy working with Yuna, the students and my fellow tutors as we’ve developed a close-knit community. Yuna has been a super supportive employer, and is always willing to listen to your concerns as a student or as a tutor. When I applied to work at YK Education, I was worried that I wouldn’t be a great tutor. However, from the minute I stepped into the office, Yuna provided guidance on how to be the most effective coach, so you don’t need to worry about being inexperienced!Working at YK Education has been a really rewarding experience, as we can truly see the difference we have made in students’ learning lives, not only in terms of their academic achievements, but also in their confidence and attitude towards learning.

I am a Year 12 student at Hornsby Girls High School and I've been taking Japanese continuers + extension and Maths lessons here at YK Education. I've gained more confidence in both subjects thanks to the lovely tutors and friendly environment. The teachers are very helpful and I feel that they really care about their students. They always make sure I understand the content before moving on and cater to my learning pace so I always feel supported.Furthermore, the lessons are always organised and there is a clear direction as to where I am headed in terms of my learning which is very reassuring, especially now that I am preparing for the HSC.I've seen a significant improvement in my marks, particularly in regards to Maths and my attitude towards this subject has greatly changed in that I now enjoy the challenge of tackling difficult concepts and working my way through complex questions rather than giving up completely. I also owe my achievements in Japanese Extension to Yuna because without her guidance and support, I definitely would not have been able to rank 1st.If you're considering studying here at YK Education, I strongly encourage you to try it out because you will not regret it :)

Yk Education saved my years 10-12 with their personal tutorials assisting my every single need. Yuna in particular was extremely supportive going out of her way to not only assist my learning but make sure my mental health remained healthy during the stress of the HSC season. I did Japanese continuers, math standard and English advanced with YK education and i truly believe that my results in the HSC were 100% thanks to all the tutors there. I would recommend YK Education to absolutely anyone hoping to receive high marks without much stress or too much pressure!

YK Education was the ideal help for getting me through the Japanese HSC Acceleration course. My tutor Yuna was extremely supportive and always provided relevant and succinct exercises to not only strengthen my prior knowledge but also build on areas which were unfamiliar. I chose YK Education because one of my peers in my class always had advanced booklets that helped him achieve high results, he didn't want me to be tutored with Yuna because he knew it was so effective I could top the class! I only wish I'd started with YK Education sooner.

I lost a lot of confidence with my maths when I entered year 9 and a harder school, and I desperately needed to gain my confidence back so I could absorb the material and understand what I was learning. I started at YK in Term 2 of 9th grade and fell in love with it! The teaching staff are supportive and patient and they focus on our deeper understanding of the content, not just questions that we memorise. For my Term 2 Math Assessment I received 96% and am still enjoying maths. I have learnt to love the subject and gain in depth knowledge of everything I learn, which I can now apply to everything that I learn, not just maths. Yuna, (owner) is lovely and positive and I always look forward to going in to YK twice a week, to study and learn, but to also be in a calm and fun environment.Thank you Yuna and to all the teachers at YK Education! Working at YK Education has been a pleasure, with a strong support network not only for student learning, but also for tutor teaching. Being both an English and Math tutor, I have been able to develop a personal connection with the students, seeing their personal and academic growth.Tutoring at YK is a unique and rewarding experience in the sense that it focuses on the student-centric model. This allows for students to clarify any issues they may have with school topics, and is not constrained to teaching pre-determined topics. It is very much flexible and tailored to each student's needs.The atmosphere within YK is also very friendly, which can be seen in the relationships between the students and YK staff.YK's unique approach to student learning and supportive environment has been a real joy not only for the tutors, but for students as well.

I was a year 12 student at Arden Anglican School who struggled with maths. Since going to YK, my math grades have seen a large improvement going from a low C/high D to a borderline A within only a few months. YK’s attention to their students’ needs and goals separates them from other tutoring institutions as they create a close bond with each member while ensuring their education needs are more than satisfied.

I joined YK Education for Mathematics Advanced as a student 2-3 weeks before my Trials in 2022 and continued until my exam in October. I had never received tutoring throughout HS until YK Education and needless to say, I wish I had started at YK sooner. Before Trials I was ranked 20th in a cohort of around 30 MADV students and my trial mark afterwards was within the top five of my school.YK Ed is a wonderful tutoring centre with incredible people. Yuna, Isabel and Ian were supportive, caring and strategic during my time as a student at the centre. Lessons were thorough and planned, each lesson targeting various weak points in my knowledge that had unfortunately accumulated throughout Yr 11-12. I gained confidence with each lesson and felt as well as witnessed actual progress in my learning and academic achievement. The holiday workshops I attended before Trials and the actual HSC were especially helpful in getting prepared for exam conditons and exam-type questions by providing exam techniques as well as resources for personal study. I did receive a fair lot of homework after each lesson but in the long run, I am honestly glad I did, as it kept me accountable with my studying and ensured I did my best throughout the HSC marathon.If you're someone who has been apprehensive about receiving tutoring and is simply wishing to see improvements in their marks, whether it's for early Year 7-10 or even as late as me in Year 12, I implore you to give YK Education a go. Hard work is a necessity to doing well in school and the HSC but having the right people can support and teach you to study and learn the right way, can enable you to do even better. Having worked at YK for a few years, I've found the atmosphere there supportive for both teaching and learning. The English programmes at YK are one-on-one, meaning that students have sessions that are appropriate for their ability and the specific issues they have in class. As a tutor, I could also build a more personal relationship with each student and encourage them to feel confident in asking questions and identifying areas that they struggle with. Everyone at YK from staff to students is friendly and familiar with each other, and Yuna is an employer who will not hesitate to sit down with you anytime and help you improve in your work. To me, this supportive environment is a great asset of YK and key to helping struggling students reach their full potential.
